Is this game going to cost Stafford the MVP? It should. Because Drake Maye's overall stats are better than Stafford.His team has more wins, He has less to work with. Maye has a better QBR and has more total yards. Stafford has about 200 more passing yards and 8 more total TD's. They both have 8 INT's and 3 fumbles. Maye has a much better completion % and has almost 500 yards rushing, Whereas Stafford I think has minus rushing yards.

I just think Demeco has that defense playing like ours was in 2022 and they're impenetrable so they're the AFC dark horse

According to FanDuel, Stafford was the MVP favorite before last night's game. He is now a +320 underdog while Drake Maye is a fairly heavy -475 favorite.

So while it's still possible Stafford wins MVP, his campaign definitely took a big hit last night. I think it's basically a matter now of how well both play Week 18 with Maye having the upper hand. If Maye even plays decently it's probably his award.

This is also why I'm tired of everyone saying "Rams had nothing to play for!" Sure from a playoff/seeding perspective they had nothing to play for. But they absolutely had a higher 1st round pick and MVP award for their QB on the line.

Kind of like the 2023 Christmas game for us: yes that loss to the Ravens did nothing to our seeding but it did torpedo Purdy's MVP campaign. At least that's what the usual suspects kept making sure to remind me anyway the same usual suspects that like to keep saying this loss meant nothing for the Rams.

This is what happened to Brock in '23. Looked like he was heading to MVP status, then Baltimore happened and he was out of the picture. Stafford's 3 picks vs Maye's monster game on Sunday (albeit vs the Jets) will likely give him the MVP this year…

The Jets, if they draft right and have a staff that can develop players are set up for a run. Problem is, we've seen the Jets with lots of extra picks before. Probably more so than any team this century.

I am torn on this game. I think I would rather play Carolina. But I don't think we are likely to end up seeing either in the playoffs. Even though Carolina beat the Rams once , I think i am going for Tampa because I like their chances upsetting the Seahawks or Rams better.
