He might be. He's an accurate thrower. He throws DARTS...

The difference is at QB. One of the problems with building an offense around a QB with unique skills like Jackson is replacing him when he's injured. There just aren't many guys that play like him. Purdy is a more traditional QB without unique skills and is easier to replace since more QBs play like him. Jones and Purdy aren't exactly the same but the differences are subtle. Kyle didn't need to change the offense much. Maybe slightly shorter pass patterns but nothing radical.
