I won't need to divide this into different posts the way SteveWallacesHelmet did. Stat Paddy's hype was created by the media the moment they saw him drafted by the Queefs. They knew that nobody ever does badly with Andy Reid, given that he has the most QB friendly scheme in the history of professional football, and now they had the kind of guy they wanted for the face of the NFL...for reasons that would need to be discussed on the politics forum. The top QB in his own draft class was a debate between Mitch Trubisky and DeShaun Watson. He wasn't even part of the conversation. The media made you forget that, just like they made you forget that the Queefs were in the playoffs every year before Stat Paddy got there. Andy Reid has a lot in common with Texas Tech's disgusting scheme that gave Kliff Kingsbury a 5,000 yard season, so it's a fit there. What's so amazeballs about Stat Paddy? Well, the media wants you to believe that because he has atrocious mechanics, this means he's a better QB than QBs with good mechanics. That's literally what people think. "Oh, that guy may have been wide open, but did you see how he spun around for no reason and didn't have his feet under him, and threw it side-armed or underhanded and it was completed for a 4 yard gain to that wide open receiver?" Most fans don't know how pocket presence is supposed to look, so they don't get it. It's kind of like with Barry Sanders dancing around in the backfield and everybody saying he has the "worst offensive line evarrrr," which was obviously nonsense. But at least with Barry Sanders, the numbers spoke for themselves. No other back was gonna put up those numbers on that team, whether they follow the creases or not. In Stat Paddy's case, he's not just ad-libbing and coming up with something better than the scheme. He's intentionally making easy throws look more difficult. The result is the Queefs offenses have been middle-of-the-road in both 2023 and 2024, despite the play caller being Andy f**king Reid. But hey...he has the ability to make punts hit Darrell Luter's leg in the Super Bowl and to get refs to overturn his interceptions and call huge penalties in big moments, so you can't deny he's clutch. Elway > Stat Paddy by a landslide.

Kid, you can't even be bothered to learn the basics.

Also, we called all kinds of players insulting nicknames throughout my time on forums. Even on Twitter there are tons of people doing it. If you're so offended by your heroes on other teams getting insulting nicknames, maybe you should hang out with the dorks on Reddit instead.

I didn't even come up with this nickname, and there have been fans nicknaming players since the internet became mainstream.

The Eagles fans called their own receivers "Stinkston and Trash" to excuse Donovan McFlabb (another nickname they came up with after they realized how overrated he is).
