I see that point of view. Although I don't agree with the NFL, they were smart to intertwine gambling and fantasy football along with the network deals. For someone who has watched for more than a half century, to me, the product has continually eroded and while still entertaining at times, has become diluted materially. Ironically, this comes at at time when league franchise values and player salaries have skyrocketed. I don't blame the players - they negotiate and should get what they can get - but the compensation structure has some problems.
