Funny, I distinctly remember loads of people putting their chest out during Shedeur's manufactured fall to the 5th saying that "the league has spoken" regarding his talent, and the like. People spammed comments like "the league talks" and "5th round pick . . . ". Well now you have to say "5th round" Pro Bowl QB, whether you like it or not.
What's good for the goose is good for the gander! Take a good look at the healthy QB's that the league DIDN'T pick over Shedeur. Again, the league is speaking volumes with this selection. And you can't put this on the fans, because we all know the NFL has a bigger Pro Bowl vote than the fans.

the race part is now even more laughable bc they have a DEI pro bowler and snubbed the greatest coach (who is white ) from the HOF .

I'll ask you these same questions: was the league wrong when they told Shedeur and the world (dishonestly I may add) that he was a 5th round talent? Or is the league wrong now for giving him a Pro Bowl nod over other QB's who isn't hurt, or in the SB, or who simply declined? Answer carefully, because you can't have it both ways.
To say that the NFL is "downgrading the prestige of the pro bowl" by inviting Shedeur completely ignores the yeoman's work that the NFL itself has done in that department, starting (at least) in 2010 (when Shedeur was 8 years old) with the NFL's refusal to
truly incentivize players to actually play on Pro Bowl games. So to put the "downgrading the prestige of the pro bowl" on Shqedeur Sanders is just asinine, respectfully. Anyone suggesting this displays a fabulous level of obliviousness, or at the very least a felonious level of refusal to consult recent history. With all due respect, I can't tell you how incredibly rash it is to put the "downgrading the prestige of the pro bowl" on the invitation of one Shedeur Sanders, giving the NFL owners historical handling of the Pro Bowl. The ills and complaints of the NFL Pro Bowl pre-date Shedeur Sanders' very existence on this earth. So I reference my questions in the above paragraph.
I won't walk back my take on the
racial – not racist – element of this whole Shedeur saga not one bit, so please stop trying
. I've already stated my position on it in great detail. Racial vis-à-vis racist requires a mature, nuanced way of thinking to give proper distinction and understanding between the two that I've already parsed and am in no mood to do it again for the kids in the back (not directed that at you blizzuntz).
When it comes to Bill Belichick's HOF snub (and a snub it was) it actually speaks to the pettiness of the NFL owners that pushed them to manufacture Shedeur's drop to the 5th. As I said a long time ago, the NFL owners are awful people who are undeservingly in possession of the world's greatest, beautiful product. Most of them were well alive during segregation and were parented by un-reconstructed segregationist (oh boy, somebody's gonna read too much into that one). The Shedeur saga and Belichick's HOF snub are but the latest examples of their awfulness as human beings that includes clinical levels of unfettered pettiness, among other things, that they can weaponize whenever their fragile egos are having a moment.
BTW, I don't do gymnastics. The sport never appealed to me. But go Team USA!
