The 49ers ranked 7th overall, with the training room with worst grade, C+ with space, the lack of table, and ice pools too small. Otherwise A's & B's. Far better than Jacksonville where they literally have a rat infestation! The Cardinals ranked second to last, F's all over the place.

Thoughts?

Is the lack of space due to 30 players being in there at a time?
While I didn't care much for Jed York in his earlier years he has really found his spot as one of the best and most successful owners in the NFL.

Not really sure, but judging by the grades I'd say that Jed will make some upgrades. These grades are a direct reflection of the owners. Every area the NFLPA graded, save for strength and training staff, are all areas the owners alone can fix.

Some of these team's owners are downright shameful. Michael Bidwill is the worst owner in the league. The only non-F grades for the Cardinals were for the strength and training staff. He makes players pay for their own food should they eat at the facility Hell, the corporation I work for feeds it's employee breakfast and lunch, even caters at their desks. You mean to tell me that an NFL franchise can't afford to feed it's players? The Bengals also got an F in nutrition, and they don't even have good working toilets and showers. This is 2023, how on earth does this happen to NFL teams? This is a pretty damning report for many NFL owners.

Dear Jesus. These reports need to made public every year. I wonder how many more players (former players) have similar stories. This is why I'm in favor of players getting their money, and why I'm in favor congressional oversight of professional sports CBA's and injury settlements. There should be no reason that multibillion dollar sports franchises should be allowed to treat their employees this way without serios penalties.

This report just exposes how horrible human beings that some (not all, not all, not all) off these owners are. It's a shame they are the stewards (such as they are) of such an enterprise.

The issue of the facility training room is that they only have so much space at 49er HQ in Santa Clara. They could remodel the space (not sure if that's happened since they were built I late 80s), but they may have to sacrifice other rooms to expand them.
