Great interview. As a former QB, he's a bit like CMC from a mental point of view where CMC kind of knows how a QB thinks. Former linebacker so he has a willingness to light up people in blocking. I love his potential. Juszczyk was a fourth round pick and he's an all pro, if Jack can be another Juszczyk, that saves a fourth round pick at least.

Maybe he's being groomed to be Juices' replacement in a couple of years.

The guy seems to be smart, versatile and tough.

If it works out - then an exceptional pick-up.

I watched a couple of his games and was impressed. Any other position and someone would have picked him up in the 6th or 7th. Maybe we can stash him for a year or two?

I disagree, I think Juice does enough to justify his salary, they can always restructure it if they want too, I don't see them cutting Juice or trading him. Also don't buy the whole narrative of 2024 is a year where the 49ers offload vets, won't happen, create cap room with 3 extensions(Mooney, AA, & Dre), and redo Deebo, saves over $40M, plus they should carryover in the $10M range.

Maybe. I am no salary cap guru. I dont see them extending Dre. I hope they can
though. I see Juice and Dre as causalties especially if Colleto shows promise. We will see with the rookie linebackers......

Why wouldn't they extend Dre? He & Fred are a great tandem, don't get why ppl think we can't or won't keep our own, overhyping guys like Colletto, and the rookie LBs, Dre is proven, you keep him long term for as long as possible. Juice is a Kyle Shanahan fav, he won't be going anywhere, he'll play out his deal IMO, extended maybe at some point. People need to stop overhyping players who haven't done anything in the NFL or haven't seen the field yet.

No one over hyping anyone. Just want to see him compete for a roster spot. Juice gets paid alot for a position that is almost extinct. If we can pay everyone what they want than its a mute point.
