Maybe, but I think a lot of blocking, especially in backs, is a question of will. In my very limited football experience, I was mostly used as a blocking fullback. I wasn't the biggest, or strongest guy you'd ever see in that position, but I rarely ever got beat in pass protection, simply because I refused to let the other guy beat me. If he was bigger than me, which was often the case, I'd find a way to stay in front of him and slow him down until I could cut his feet.

When I watch TDP try and block, it seems pretty clear he doesn't want any part of that process. He has probably been a pretty successful runner at most levels he's played at and thinks it's his job to run the ball, not stick is nose in and do the dirty work. It's like that #22 in one of Trey's clips from the Denver game. Had a LB running free through a gap, right towards his QB, but was so intent on getting out into his safety valve route that he let the guy run right past him. I mean you have to at least try and chip that guy. WR's aren't the only prima donnas on a team.

Hunt sucks.

please cut to TDP right now! He is not worth our roster right now! I hope that 49ers need sign any RB from any teams. keep search to sign the RBs?!!!
Interesting its picked up on here as well. The JT O'Sullivan video break down of Trey Lance's preseason debut included mentioning just how often "Number 32" was whiffing on blocks. He said, "It's how you get QB's injured" . If it wasn't clear before, it is now as why TDP is not on the field much in the regular season.

That's it. No more drafting 3rd round RBs for Kyle.
That doesn't mean use 2nd rounders either.

Can't say I like his game at this point. Mason is a better power runner. They both do little on pass downs. I just don't know what exactly this guy brings to the table.

Yep. better to draft for 4th to 7th round RBS but 2nd round is pretty well sometime..
why is it that he flashes during practice but can't block in games
TDP stinks. Mason is so much better.
Joe Williams, Trey Sermon and TDP. Starting a tradition like the Browns with QBs

He couldn't pass block a feather with a pillow. I've never seen pass pro this bad from a RB I don't think.

Lawrence Phillips deserves to be mentioned. He could run down teenagers though.
