Does Anyone On This Webzone Believe That Aaron Donald Is The Best Defensive Player Ever!?!

After the Super Bowl on Sunday, I actually heard two boobs saying that Aaron Donald is the best defensive player ever!!! Now, it sounded like they didn't believe it but, they said it on TV. Now I'm hearing it from Sharpe, Wiley and Acho. What is this? I checked the stats from one Niners game and #99 had zeros across the board! Hell, we have a guard who OWNS HIM AND THE NINERS ARE THINKING ABOUT DUMPING HIM!!! Help me understand what's going on!!!

Please, JJ Watt is much better. Donald is elite but at pass rushing. He is NOT great vs the run at all. Sometimes even a liability, especially against us. Rushes upfield too much with little gap integrity or awareness. Not a complete DT but absolutely awesome rushing the passer.

LT, Dean, deion, Lambert, white, hamm, nitzke (different era, but that guy was looking to kill people), I'd put Haley in the conversation, maybe alzedo.

Donald is one of the best of this generation, I think TJ Watt takes the crown from him shortly. One of the best all time? Maybe in the conversation, he does it 8 more years, that's a more serious talk.

Lawrence Taylor took over games like no one ever has.

White was as dominant as Donald if not more so...and he did it while preaching to the poor guy that tried to block him.

Sanders was the best of his era but he didn't dominate the way the other two did. His position did not have that much influence on the overall play. Also, his aversion to physical contact was well known.

One thing about LT is he was crazy in a scary way. LT is the best defensive player I've ever seen. Players were scared of what he would do to them. He was hard to plan around, because he was allowed to freelance unlike the other 10 players on the Giants.

Deion was dangerous but you could plan around him plus he avoided tackling. Nobody feared Deion physically.

Donald is awesome but he doesn't put the fear into people like LT.

There have been many great defensive players and several as good or better than Donald, including 2 from the Rams. Deacon Jones and Merlin Olson. They didn't keeo sack records for most of Jones career but he may have had more than anyone.
