I wonder if they would have done the samething if it was someone like Horn or Brown who made the hit. A top draft pick.

Hell no, this was a guy who already well on the fringes and unlikely to make the roster so they figured they may as well use him to send a message.

I saw the hit and it didn't look that bad to me. I kept replaying it to see if there was something I missed.

This. Bubble guys have zero room for error. I think it was Arians that cut someone for parking in the wrong spot a few years back.

That is why I don't blame these guys for holding out or wanting more $ once they make it.

I don't think an illegal hit qualifies as "can hit". It's more like can get flagged.
