Give the young man time to develop.
D2? LOL. Same league Jimmy G came from except Jimmy never got a chance to even sniff playing NDSU.
Rest assured NDSU guy. Your prodigal son is in good hands!

I'm not knocking Lance at all. Clearly Lance is a better prospect than Jimmy. I am just saying to those worrying about some areas he needs to iron out - let him develop. It seems like he's already further along than many anticipated which is great.

Hmmmmm,...listened to him for awhile and wow. Maybe it's a lil overhype,....but what I can say thus far about Shanny is he bounces back from bad draft picks (or non-draft picks) pretty damn aggressive and resiliently, time after time. Did so on the DLine,...@ WR,...and now, supposedly, @ QB.
I thought him as a tie @ 3rd in the draft @ QB w/Fields,...but was I wrong? Would Shanahan have drafted him over Zach Wilson?
Juss dont want too much on his shoulders day 1. That's all I ask for.

Id say he's trending towards week 1 starter.
Lulz less than 24 hours ago posters were complaining about his wounded ducks. I swear you guys are worse than high school girls, control your emotions and quit living and dying from every report that comes out of camp . Preseason is upon us, and we will finally get to see what Trey can do, until then….
RELAX
Loool I won't relax. Stfu foh
Great thought provoking response
You get what you ask for. Don't tell me to RELAX. This ain't f**king golf. I ain't ever relaxing as long as Lance is the QB. Man up! If your body is too old to make some natural testosterone - take what Frank Thomas is selling. Don't be timid and shy. This is Trey Area! Get your popcorn ready!!!!

Well yea. He's not Justin Herbert or Josh Allen, but his arm when it comes to distance is in the top 10 probably.
The farthest career throw from Trey Lance

~62 yards

62 yards at 19 is not bad. His velocity might be in the top 3 in the league.
You can get a real sense for his velocity from his pro-day:

Don't think so. Athletically, RW can't hold this kid's jockstrap.
I don't know about that. Russell Wilson ran a 4.55 at the combine, broad jumped 118" and had a blazing short shuttle of 4.09. Trey is a good athlete, but I doubt he beats those numbers.
Interesting side note that Russell Wilson, despite being almost 5 inches shorter, has much bigger hands than Trey(10.25" vs 9.125").
Trey has been laser timed at 4.51 and had what would have been the 12th faster GPS in game time run in the NFL (fastest at QB) last yr.
Wilson did all that at 204lbs. Trey is 20lbs bigger.

The whole played in D2 and not being some high end recruit is a lazy take…talent is talent.
2 of the best 5 QBs in the league were 2 and 3 star recruits with hardly any offers (Allen/Mahomes).

Sorry, but Trey has been timed in 4.4. Not bad at 6'4", 226.
Ok, that doesn't change anything about the original claim of RW can't hold Trey's jock athletically. A hand-timed 40 of 4.4 usually translates to a 4.5 at the combine(add a tenth is rule of thumb), which means his 40 would be on-par with RW. Again, the original claim was that RW can't hold Trey's jock, which is a bad take. Don't let your fandom interfere with reality.
Yeah I never heard Trey getting clocked at 4.4, laser timed at 4.51 though. 20lbs heavier.
both are very athletic.

It seems like those that attended the practice today came away with a positive impression of Lance.
