Sam Darnold did this when he "saw ghosts" v NE

11-of-32 for a career-low 86 yards, was sacked once for a loss of 13 yards and tied a career-high with four interceptions

Trey Lance clearly improves the longer he plays

Sam brought Casper with him.

Peter King questions if Lance will be in NFL five years from now

different vid than the earlier one I posted.... Peter King hears a lot of shiz, these comments are based on his discussions with ShannaLynch.... been saying same on here for over a year, many will be shocked when TL doesn't play out his rookie contract

You're the same "QB expert" that said Jimmy was a top 5 QB in the NFL.

…clearly still sulking about it too.

Thanks for your contribution to the forum. Very good at finding the right articles.. regardless if the interview was last week.

5 years from now would be his 8th year. Andrew Luck retired after 7 years himself, right?

Nothing at all to sneeze at and alot of football left to be played between now and then.

If you really want to make a grandiose claim, dont give yourself so much wiggle room for error.

Sam was far from Meh in that game from my perspective. He ran the offense as it was designed. I thought he did the same in week 1 but to a lesser degree. I didn't have high hopes for Sam coming into this whole ordeal but after watching him these past two weeks (especially Saturday) I have more hope in him than I ever anticipated myself having.

He's played well in the preseason games. Aside from his competition with Trey, there should be confidence in his reliability as backup.

Your hatred for Lance is a joke, I swear your hatred comes as if your boyfriend or girl has a crush on him and you're jealous about it

The same thing Jets and Panthers fans said in very early stages. Then reality set in.

The nice thing is were not banking on him to be a starter or a future franchise QB… and we can give him advantages those team's couldn't.

He's not a stud QB1. He's a fringe starter/good QB2, with some potential upside.

If you want the magnifying glass review on Darnold

Raiders game
1/6 drives were 3 and out
*had 1 play turnover and 3 play turnover i didnt count
1/6 drives generated scoring opportinities (missed FG)

Broncos game
2/5 drives were 3 and out
1/5 drives generated scoring opportunities (TD on final drive)

Not lighting the preseason on fire...he just "looks" like he knows what he is doing

Exactly. I've also reviewed his plays on my own. From an individual perspective he's made good decisions, been accurate, and mixed in a few really nice throws over the two games. No head scratching wtf moments. That's an ideal backup.

He's in year 6 or 7. If Trey still hasn't put it together in year 6 I will also say the potential upside is no longer there.

Upside as in can improve as a player. Not upside as in he's going to be a star. He can clearly get better if you're watching what he's doing as an individual, emotion free.
Basically the Bleck Sam Darnold?

Niners need LEGIT QB backups or it's just going to end up a tragedy like the end of last season.
