LOL

I'm assuming you disagree with the following opinions based on your "LOL"

1) looks more compact which is good
(appears that way. Don't think it's LOL worthy IMO)
2) will revert when there are live reps
(very possible. Something that is often said in football communities. Again not LOL worthy IMO)
3) hard to make major changes to his passing motion at this stage of his career and be successful
( I know players often tweak stuff here and there during offseason. Or work on cleaning stuff up. Not too familiar with major overhauls in year 3 of NFL career. Well see what happens but again not LOL worthy)

Yep. I also don't understand why people have done that to Brock after the rookie season he's had. Always trying to knock him. Lance understands but a faction of our fan base doesn't.

I don't like it, if that's the totality of how he feels. Trey's attitude should be, "I'm gonna take Purdy's job." Hopefully he feels that way and is just being diplomatic. Same with Darnold. I need these guys to ruthlessly compete. You can be a good teammate and good sport if you lose the competition. But you need to be acting as if you want to take that man's job.

I see you come from the Zach Wilson school of media interviews

No no no. It was Lance's interviews which made me actually start willing to put in time to research who he was. You have to be diplomatic as he did. But I'm afraid Lance is a "what you see is what you get" guy, and he actually feels like he's still in that understudy role. He has got to come out fighting to steal a man's job if he wants to be the QB for the 49ers going forward.

This is one of the more ridiculous takes I've seen in regard to Lance.

I hear you, one thing I have been asking for is angry Lance. It's a big life switch from NDSU, to NFL and star QB for the 49ers.. so there may be a multi year adjustment / soaking everything up. He should be a lot more comfortable now, in his 3rd year in our offseason.

He would gain nothing by saying that. Just needs to go out there and prove it.

I'm not expecting him to say it, I'm just expecting him to feel it. I'm just afraid he's too passive. As I said, you have to be diplomatic and a good teammate. But you still got to have that ruthlessness.

I don't think he comes across as too passive. he's just conscious of how media operates, especially in the off season.

One thing I've always tried to make sure I do, especially when I criticize his play, is mention his character. He really seems like an awesome teammate and good person. He def works hard. Very likable in that aspect. If he can get his game fixed and some experience under his belt, he will be a good qb in this league.

In what way? You understand the very best athletes are extraordinarily competitive, right? Remember Steve Young? It got to a point he said straight up he wants to play. Supports Joe and the team, sure, but he wanted to play. You could tell by the way he said it he was FAR from content. He was angry. Ticked off. Frustrated.

Listening to Crocker propose a trade of Lance to the Commies for Chase Young if the FO is 100% sold on Purdy. Ngl that's not a horrible idea

I really feel like you misinterpret a lot of whats going on, on this board. Or you make sweeping generalizations. People are giving Brock s**t? People are always trying to knock him? Where is this happening?

At worst, I have seen people say that they want to see him prove it over a longer stretch before they crown him. Or that they want to see how he comes back from an injury.

Where are all these people? Was there a single Niner fan that wasnt thrilled with what he did for us last season?
Here we go again." Nobody is doing that". Then I pull up examples and never get a response or a "my bad". Just move on and do it again. Like we are now.

If people said the bold and left it at that it would be fine. That's understandable. Btw, nobody is crowing him. Just discussing his play, which was spectacular. Yet, to see someone put him in canton. Appears like you are making "sweeping generalizations". Where is this happening?

when posters have blamed him for losing the NFCCG because he got injured on a freak play. Then yes that comes across as giving him s**t.

Or when posters say that they he was unimpressive in the playoffs because he didn't shred a top defense like the Cowboys, even though he broke rookie playoff records the week before, then yes that comes across as knocking his play.

Saying that he has a low ceiling due to a weak arm and size, after playIng like an elite QB during his time as a starter, comes across as s**tting/knocking him.

There are more examples that are escaping my mind at the moment.

It's not just here. It's all over twitter as well.

Right that is my hope. I am a natural pessimist, much like the George Seifert days.

Maybe. It certainly is right this moment. It's not June 1st yet and we don't know for sure how Purdy is going to be come September. But you can't have two Franchise QBs.

ARod completely changed his motion over a 3 season period sitting behind Brett Favre. He had the weird Tedford taught hold it high and tight motion that McCarthy has spoken about having to correct in the past. Unless I'm mistaken it was Aarons motion that needed to be fixed, and McCarthy's doubting his coachability in doing so that tipped the scales in favor of Alex Smith, as it was McCarthy that made the final decision to go with Alex over Aaron as everyone else in the org had them so close.

trey lance has hardly any value right now, we'd be lucky to get a 2nd rod 3rd rounder for him

I think Brock could be our FQB going forward. I also thought Jimmy G was going to be special in Shanahan's offense after his 5 games in 2017 and was mostly disappointed since. I really hope Brock is HIM, but It'd dumb to trade away assets without more proof.
No, not "exactly". That comment just doesn't apply to you. But to act like a faction of niner fans aren't knocking Brock is false.

Like I said, if posters left it at, "we just want to see more" then fine. No problems but it's not just that that's being said.

not sure on the value front, but the recent info that we can dress all three, I see that as the direction we are going here
TL is under contract, and nothing prohibits a trade as we go forward into next offseason
BP looking at the timeline, I have doubts he is QB1 opening day, maybe he is, but I can't say with certainty, and I don't want him rushed into action
