They didn't draft a QB A: because all the QBs worth drafting went in the 4th. B: No one wanted Trey so there was no immediate need for them to draft one.

They know this is true, but they will celebrate that their favorite QBs trade interest was referred to as crickets. I'm not high on any QB in this draft, so for there to be almost no interest in Trey was very telling

trey doesnt LOOK a certain way and brock does

Sadly I have wondered if this is the case for some folks. The negativity towards Lance makes no football sense to me.
I'm sure there are a few people out there that dislike trey over brock because he's black but I imagine the VAST majority like brock over trey because he's the superior player (so far) on the field.

Even if you just wanted to compare their first 3 starts only, it's not even close. Sometimes you have to call a spade a spade and there is no hidden motive

..some of the biggest busts in the nfl have been given more opportunity than trey's ever got
plus the 49ers knew he was a project when they drafted him,, now after 4 starts you want to give up on the kid..

If you are referring to being an NFL starting QB. You are correct. Trey doesn't LOOK like that and Brock does.

I personally didn't want him traded for peanuts but is my faith shaken? Yeah. He's suffered 2 multi game injuries in 4 starts and in those 4 starts he's been very up and down.

What do you expect a fan to do when another young QB steps in and lights it up under similar circumstances? Honest question
If there is a team to watch for a Trey trade now it's the Commanders. Sam Howell is not gonna be a long term answer. Question is would they be bad enough to be in position to get someone they would want in 24. No more Snyder coupled with good relations with both GM and Coach makes it worth keeping an eye on.

Oh really? Who referenced crickets? I'm sure someone super credible and not a sh*t can.

6 QBs went after the 4th round. Including the guy everyone claimed we were all over in DTR(140th overall)

I'm pretty sure if we were so hell bent on bringing him in we could've swung a trade up to get him given our pick in the 5th round was only 15 spots after that.

Perhaps the people who realized it logically made no sense for the 49ers to trade Lance right now given the QB room circumstances, his contract and the simple fact that his value isn't worth trading him, were onto something?

We didn't even sign an UDFA QB. Surely if 49ers were all out on Lance like you all want to believe we would've made a bigger effort to bring in another QB during this process?

Either very stupid or just trolling.

Of course he had suitors. Was it worth it for us though? If people weren't offering 1st round picks or multiple 2nd day picks it makes no sense to trade him.
I still think it would have been very risky to trade Lance without getting another good look at him this summer and in pre season. The only thing worse than him being a bust would be letting him go too soon and watching him turn into a top QB for one of our rivals like the Rams or the Seahawks.
