Trey should be shut down for the year imo

we do not want to risk anything

What if Jimmy gets injured with 2 games to go and Lance represents the only hope into the playoffs?

With regards to your second paragraph this is what I am hoping for.

"IF" Jimmy is injured, Eziekel and I are saying we hope Lance returns as we both believe Jimmy cannot get all the day over the top. And it remains to be seen if Lance can.

That's not what that sentence says. If you meant something different, that's cool.

To be very clear, I do not hope for Jimmy to be injured. But I do expect him to be injured in some capacity this season, and if it's a major injury or an injury at the end of the season, my hope would be lance returning.

This accomplishes two goals: 1) Jimmy wins game and advanced to playoffs when starting, and 2) I fundamentally don't believe Jimmy can win it all, maybe Lance can catch fire like Kap did last half zone games in 2012.

I do not believe Shanahan will alter depth chart at QB unless an injury occurs. So it's Jimmy's ride until it isn't.

Or if we go into the sh*tter, then it would make sense to get Lance up to speed, a la Jimmy of 2017.

Thanks, that's a reasonable position. The previous articulation, which Ezekiel seems to support, said something very different.

Edit: I should say, "Ezekiel's response, which you cosigned, said something very different."

No I want Jimmy to be unable to play at the end of the season IF Lance is healthy.

Like a pulled hammy or something mild that prevents him from being our playoff starter IF Lance is medically cleared and available and 100%.

No different than last year when I hoped Jimmy's thumb injury would keep him out towards the end of the season and Lance would come in and start in the playoffs.

Or how about this for those who get butt hurt far too easily over the above....

I hope if we've locked up a playoff spot Jimmy has a terrible final two games and we still find a way to win and we go with Lance to start in the playoffs.

In the end I'm tired of the Jimmy playoffs movie and hope if Lance is somehow 100% that conditions play out that Jimmy is not the starter first game of the playoffs whether through poor play or some kind of MILD injury that keeps him out.

Fools in here acting like I'm wishing some serious career-threatening or concussion injury on Jimmy...all because they're in love with him and caught up in their feels.

I simply want to win the Super Bowl and don't think Jimmy can make it happen. I sure as hell would love to be wrong and get #6 this year w Jimmy being a primary reason for it.

That being said...my position has major flaws itself as the whole idea behind the Lance move was that by the time he had 17 starts under his belt he'd be clearly better than Jimmy and our best chance at a SB...and if Lance had to start in the playoffs this year it would be without that in game seasoning over the course of the year so very risky in terms of volatility of outcome.

Will be very frustrating to lose in the playoffs with Jimmy and a healthy Lance on the bench and active as the #2. Whereas if Lance is not available than a playoff loss would be expected out of Jimmy and easier to swallow since Lance was out with an injury and could not play.

I like your content but this not really ringing the bell for me here..

First JG can win anywhere anytime. He beat a 13-3 team on the road and he defeated last years SB champ on the road. The roster is as good as it has been. How would we go into the bleep as you say? TL in 5 qtrs against two teams with rook secondaries had no TDs.. you think he's walking into Dec/Jan when he hasn't been walking or throwing and starts catching fire.. delusional. Purdy > Lance right now cuz of the medical situation Purdy has been practicing / dressing / throwing that stuff matters TL rusty as bleep, he needs another offseason.

LOL, they may need to surgically remove your lips from Jimmy's arse when he's jettisoned from the team. I sort of understand why you think Jimmy can win anywhere, anytime. It's because his TEAM regularly does despite his performances, particularly in the playoffs. Saying Purdy is better than Lance because Lance is on IR is among the dumbest things I have read on this board. Do you even think about these things before you write them? Sure, as long as we're going there, he's better than Joe Montana and Steve Young right now too. Once JG is on another team, we can finally put this "win anywhere, anytime" business to rest.

Jimmy folds in the post season and the team wins games for him. He is exceptionally talented in finding ways to stall the offense and lose games. All this negativity about Trey is disgusting. The kid is on IR and has not been given the opportunity to succeed. Kyle the mastermind confused him for a full back with designed run after run after run up the middle. I would put him back in the second he is healthy. I have a bad feeling that the idiots that run this team are going to offer jimmy an extension. Yes, they are that stupid.

Rationalize it however you want, it doesn't make your perspective less repugnant. You openly hope that a player suffers an injury. Pure trash, and your 500 word essay does nothing to change that.
What are you people even talking about? Lance was put on the IR. I don't believe he was put on the IR that allows a designation to return. Kyle and Lynch have both said at various times that Lance is DONE for the year and yet here you are coming up with scenarios wishing for Jimmy to get hurt and plotting how Lance COULD come back. I swear. It just never stops with some people.
Goff might be available and I could see him returning to the Bay Area

Lmao dont curr about your butthurt opinion - remove stick from arse and you'll be a lot better off.

Mild hammy injury is nothing I just suffered one playing softball a couple months back and it hurt like hell but was fine in 6 weeks.

Don't want Jimmy starting in the playoffs period if a healthy Lance is available.

No one wants Jimmy gone more than I do. But even I don't root for injury. Sheesh.
I will not ACTIVELY root for an injury but I'll say I won't be complaining if a mild one comes that keeps him out.

Or how about this then... I would not mind if he gets the flu and cannot go week one of the playoffs. Better?

I just want to win the Super Bowl and don't think Jimmy can make that happen based on his performances in the playoffs.

Please don't link these comments to the Jimmy thread or all hell will break loose.

So basically you won't root for injury which you already admitted to previously and will root for illness. I am understanding you correct? You think KS is so bad at the depth chart that he needs illness to get the right QB in there? Is that your post?

I think he just wants Jimmy in "Jordan Flu Mode" come the playoffs.
Get the big pic sentiment... if Lance is 100% and available at the end of the year I don't want Jimmy playing. Shanahan would not have the balls to play Lance so need seeing else as the catalyst for Lance's insertion.

Hope Jimmy oversleeps on game day the last couple weeks of the years and during the playoffs!

Good grief.
