I noticed that too. He's either "washed," or just not real happy with the coaching situation on his new team. I also suspect some long-term injury may be hampering his play. His scrambling skills and ability to keep plays going with his legs were always something to behold. But you just don't see that type of play out of him as much.

take a look at him. He ate a lot of food and got fat. He also bought into his hype that he is some top tier QB so prolly stop working hard in the offseason. He's more concerned about being a cool dude that hangs out at celeb events then actually playing/improving at football.

I see it as more that Goodell isn't really helping him anymore. Which hid a lot of his flaws.

They're both looking washed, one has once been established as an elite QB the other has been established as a fodder in COD. The upside kyler has is that he's younger, but hes not going to start the season.

Russell's over-reliance on scramble drills has a shorter (pun fully intended) shelf life than that of a quarterback that really does look to operate mainly from the pocket.
