This situation is looking more and more like the movie Any Given Sunday, and where was that fictional team located at?

Sacrificial lamb. He'll probably turn around and sue for wrongful termination.

McDaniel made a big mistake joining that clown show organization. Should've stayed with the Niners and waited for a better job opportunity to open up
hope the bag was worth it at least.

He's just as guilty if he's letting Tua fly and watch screens the same day as a concussion.

Crazy the society we live in today. The NFL has already changed all the rules and made their product as soft as it can possibly get.
Tua got hurt twice, so be it! There was no launching by the defensive player or helmet to helmet contact, he simply hit his head on the ground which could happen to the best of 'em. Now everyone says he shouldn't have played, well that was HIS choice and his team and team doctors were okay with him playing so now he has to deal with the "injury".
We seem to have a bunch of Covid & Concussion experts in the media all of a sudden. Football is a mans game until they put flags on them, step aside and let the men do what they do and if someone doesn't want to watch it then that is their choice.
Boxers and MMA fighters must be looking at this like WTF???? The goal in their sport is to try to give one another a concussion.
Hitting on the back of the head is banned from both boxing and MMA. Yes KOs are part of it, but not all head trauma is the same. Tua took the equivalent of a baseball bat to the back of his head twice in 4 days. Fighters spend months/years between fights. Big difference.
No he didn't, the field is not a hard surface (or at least not as hard as a bat) and if you look at the first issue he got pushed and hit the ground. A baseball bat would have fractured his skull.

The back of the head is one of the worse hits you can take. And no MMA fighters arent looking at this like WTF, they are looking at this like f****ck thats bad. You have the chin, the back of the earlobe/temple and then the back of the head... thats also the order of how severe a knockout concussion can be. Getting knocked out from your brain stem is no bueno.
Getting hit in the chin or earlobe temple is how most fighters get knocked out, every now and then a punch does go past those points and hits the back of the head and the fighter drops instantly. Theres no such thing as a "good chin" when you go past a certain point of the head... there is the least amount of cushioning from the brain to the skull. Organizations have to have rules in place against hitting the back of the head just to get sanctioned in every state for the very reason that it is the worst possible way to get a concussion/knock out. Twitter is littered with doctors right now saying this.
Edit: Also on ESPNs front page.... https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/34696155/junior-welterweight-luis-quinones-25-dies-5-days-ko-loss-colombia
Fighters don't need to get hit in the back of the head, they get hit or punched in the face and land on the back of their head all the time. The ring is a much harder surface than the football field turf/grass. Most of the time they are knocked unconscious. Tua was not struck in the head, he hit his head on the turf.

i dont think you understand what would happen if you were hit anywhere on the head with a baseball bat. OR you do actual think guys can headbutt baseballs out of a ball park.
