Oh probably not...they will move up if they feel he's the LT FQB

I'm not banking on it. There was a piece about this very scenario in the athletic. Too many bad teams that need QBs: he could feasibly go top 5. We shall see

Yup, we will win a few meaningless games at the end

All about what you're willing to give up.

I'm calling Cincinnati

end of the day I don't see SF winning more than 6 games.

The bad teams usually do need QBs, but there are always teams that move up to get a QB. We shouldn't settle in this years draft

Ward and Moore are the only 2 guys under contract next year in the secondary, who knows if Richburg will ever play again and they have minimal money to spend in FA with a lot of FAs

Giving up future picks does not help us this coming year. We can still sign Mos,Verett, Kwon. We're already playing without Rich..

Lets get our stud so we can end the QB talk

I guess it will depend on the draft pick compensation and whether it's future picks or not. Still have Williams and quite a few key guys set to hit FA. Now if they are drafting Jones then I guess Jimmy and his contract would be gone, so that would be a nice chunk of change. Hopefully Ford retires. Frankly I am a little shocked they are even in this situation

Yes. Are we really going to continue muddling with mediocrity at the most important position in the game for years to come? I for one would hope not. I don't care what they have to give up to move into position to draft Wilson. Having a QB that is special always makes you a contender. Getting rid of Jimmy's contract will let us sign/improve the secondary and OL too boot.

In hindsight the Richburg and Ford restructures probably weren't the best way to go for the FO, since we can't release them now without a big dead cap hit (if I'm wrong lmk).

Yeah this off-season is pretty crazy with all of our FAs. Part of the reason they dumped Alexander to save some cap space.
Some guys still don´t realize that our biggest need is QB

If Shanny falls in love with Wilson we´ll trade up no matter what we have to give. I´m pretty sure that Shanahan is sick of not having the QB he really wants.

We have bigger issues along the entire Oline that could be magnified if we don't manage to resign T.Williams. It won't matter who the QB from M.Ryan, Jimmy G to a Rookie is if we can't protect them.

Shanny also seems to have a preference for veteran QB's...not sure he's into hand holding with a rookie.
BYU will be taking that UW game after that s**tty ranking lol
