Gonna be pissed off outta my mind if Shanahan passes on Zach Wilson. I don't think there is any other position in this draft I could pass up Wilson for!!! The only player that I'd draft over Wilson without even thinking about it is Trevor Lawrence of course. Ask this in three months and my answer will still be the same IDGAF about who's stock has risen during the Senior Bowl and Combine.

How can he pass on someone he won't even be in position for us to get? That's like being mad we "passed" on Patrick Peterson in 2011.

Your optimism is touching.

(or pessimism, if you mean we'll lose and still get too high a draft pick)

WSUPPP FELLAS !!

You know, the QB that remind me of Wilson, and I'm talking about his mechanics only, is actually JAY CUTLER... he may not have the same GUN as Cutler, but the way he moves around and the way he releases the football..

.. and I'm not bashing the Wilson, because Cutler was really good at Vandy but just watch this kid, his drop backs, the way he stands there in the pocket..

But they should of spanked them imo. Carolina had just as much prep time as they did and they- he- let the game dissolve into a pissing match rather than a boat race.

And yes I know he has all the throws but so does Kirk Cousins, Trubisky, Haskins, etc etc.

I dunno maybe Im just thinking BYU is a soft team atm but he is their captain and its a possible cause for concern.

Mahomes his last yr at Texas tech he lost to

AZ state
Kansas state
Oklahoma
West Virginia
Texas
Oklahoma state
Iowa state

I don't think anyone questioned his leadership? BYU is not a good team overall. Coastal Carolina is currently No. 9 in the country, why should they have spanked them?

Hmmm interesting question. I think they should of easily beat carolina for a couple of reasons. Mostly coaching. One of their main tactics going into the game seemed to be cheap shot BYU out of their game. Which- surprisingly- worked extremely well but has next to no chance of working against more focused teams imo..

Carolina also dont seem to be all that disciplined or- again- well coached. With one example being not playing to the whistle and allowing a receiver to just run down the sideline. Another being that I saw their dbs look over to the sidelines a few times with no clue where they were supposed to line up well before a play.

Couple that with having a qb who seems to be only able to throw ducks limiting your offense and I think you can see what im thinking. I know their running game is good but....

Anyways Im not trying to be contrary here. Just trying to figure out who I want as the niners next qb

Interesting choice of player to make your point.

I've disagreed with my fair share of NY's posts (I almost muted him during the 2017 draft on multiple occasions), but can we please not go another entire offseason/draft cycle with you seeking out and calling out every single one of his posts?!

How athletic? Aaron Rodgers athletic?

Probably the only thing I didn't like is that he looked very small framed. 49ers have me terrified of injuries. We have too many every year.

I'd say at least Rogers athletic.

He's 6-3 210-215...Around the same size as Watson and Carr. That was kinda my comp a more athletic bigger arm Derrick Carr, shanny was a fan of him coming out of the draft.

Size is however a negative, so I get that.

Think I'm just gonna ignore his post when it comes to QBs...No hate, but he clearly always has an issue with my opinions in the draft forums.

No doubt I can be pretty passionate in here lol. I enjoy the draft process and evaluating players more than anything else here. Same with you I think. Sorry if I was a bit much back in 2017

New Years resolution, tone it down a notch lol

All good dude. There's a handful of higher quality QB draft prospects...looking like a good draft class which is good for us.

Indeed. An lowering of the temperature, as President-elect Biden would say.

Help me to fall in love with Wilson. I saw him play this past Saturday. Good but not heaven sent. He has a nice release. I think he's more athletic and probably not as melancholy but he reminded me of josh Rosen at UCLA.

Not trying to bash him but asking why is he so perfect?

Herr Rosen may have been talent, but he had the attitude of an Charlie Horse that is inebriated and wears the shoes of the Clowns.

Problem with Rosen is he thought he was Rodgers status coming out of college already and he was gonna make everyone that passed on him pay cause he was so awesome...while making his smug duck face he makes all the time.

lol don't you start misreading what i said in the draft section now.

Was talking more about Wilson/Lance aka the guys who weren't considered studs at the top for multiple seasons now.

Yo I'm not trying to start a debate, I'm just saying Fields has been a top end talent since coming out of HS. 39 offers from every top school, him and Lawrence were neck and neck as the nations top QB and overall top recruit in the country.

Kid is a stud...I don't see Wilson or Lance over taking him at all. That was more my point. Lynch was never regarded like Fields has been.

Was a joke brother...breathe lol.

I agree Lawrence/Fields are cream of the crop. I was speaking about Wilson/Lance in terms of their stock may fluctuate similar to Paxton.

Lawrence and Fields have been guys who were considered top 2 before the season started and haven't done anything to change that. Guys like Paxton Lynch who kind of climb to the top out of nowhere(or little notoriety) have a tendency to get dropped down the draft boards when picked apart during the draft process but as mentioned sometimes some guys get bumped up.

But I agree IMO Lawrence/Fields are easily the top 2 guys and that shouldn't change.

You're passionate about the 49ers, as are most of us. Don't worry about it.
