I've said it for years. He's a really, really good player. He has it all except straight line speed. But everything else. I'd put most of those at less than 50% chance of completion. They may go down as drops in the stat sheet. But I don't think many of those were gimmies. In fact they would be incredible if he made some of those.

Boldin did not have breakaway speed. In fact he's slow in timed speed. Just like Jennings.

Boldin = 4.71

Jennings = 4.72

He may in a game have been able to break tackles well. But Boldin to me mostly just muscled the ball and caught everything with great hands and great routes. You wouldn't call either one fast. But the game isn't always played by track time 40 yard dash.

Yes same mould, but Boldin clearly had better skills in terms of route running and catching the ball.
