It's peanuts. And it's an incentive. Relax

I only lose my emotional regulation on game day....Seriously this was a good deal for both.

Lol. A player who outperformed his contract has a chance to earn extra money. I'm going to punch a wall.

No, you guys are just pushovers, a weird thing to complain about is asking for a raise on a 2 year contract that was signed a year ago.
It's a good deal. They did him a solid. He's not a free agent. Just added incentives for this year. Maybe gives him a chance to sign longer here as he will feel better now about us.

What happen to the $20 mil a year?? lol

He's not a FA. We just did him a solid with the incentives. If he has another big year he can and will get $15 million + on the FA market. I would like it with the 49ers. But not sure it will be. He's really a good player.
This is the perfect answer to get a big season out of him, he will be super motivated. Sucks that it also means he is basically guaranteed to be gone after this season though.
I hope he has another great season and get a huge contract next year!

It's just good business. He had by far his best stats in his career. It was no kind of surprise he wanted more, that is common. The issue was that he wasn't likely to have better stats this year so he had to go for it now. The 49ers don't want to and won't pay him the money he wants, they need him to play this year though and they want him to play hard.

The incentives cost them nothing if he sits and sulks, if he gets hurt they don't pay, if he plays poorly they bench him and they don't pay. The only way they pay is if he plays and plays well.

Every team would make that deal.

And if he gets a silly big contract the 49ers get a 3rd round pick when he leaves, not the 6th round pick they got for Deebo.
So.....he missed 36 days for 3.5M?

I don't pay the bills, so it's not me being the pushover.

It's not your money lol. Don't worry, the York's have plenty of money. They can afford 3 mil in bonus money.

If you want to focus on this from a POV fans perspective, then you focus on the salary cap. This doesn't impact our salary cap at for next year. So no reason to complain because an NFL player is getting extra money that is well deserved, based on what others are getting.

You've said some version of this multiple times now. He and his agent knew his value was peak right now etc etc.

How do you reconcile this opinion with the fact that he reportedly turned down a multiple year extension for this one year reworking of his contract to include 3 million in incentives? He's clearly 'betting on himself'. This should be obvious.

Come on. This is your take?

He's looking longer term and much more money. He also had an injured calf. He will play in game #1. Ready to go. He's not a free agent. We just did him a solid. To make him more happy. Maybe he will sign longer term with us because he's slightly more happy. Or somewhere else for a longer deal and more money. He did what he could in a non contract year. Honestly Jennings is kind of the winner. He was not a FA, just did a deal and still they gave him more with incentives. He will making bigger money after the year is out and he hits true free agency.

Just curious but where do you think the York's money comes from? They make their millions off the fanbase of the Niners or Leeds whether it's in ticket sales, merch, food, etc. So in reality, it actually is your money.
