Gonna have to make some tough cuts this year, like last. Who will be the Jordan Matthews of 2020....

10 OL would make more sense. Skule and Mckivitz not dressing at least is understandable.

Who's your veteran then? Bourne? Hes only 24. Obviously they dont 'need' one but I feel like WR, CB, and offensive line are the 3 position groups you want at least one dude older than 24.

F/Z: Jalen Hurd; Jauan Jennings
XWR: Brandon Aiyuk; Travis Benjamin
SWR: Kendrick Bourne; Trent Taylor
ZWR: Deebo Samuel

That's a nice list, NC - very realistic.

TE: George Kittle; Ross Dwelley & Charlie Woerner

F/Z: Jalen Hurd (if not then IR) or Jauan Jennings (if not then PS)
XWR: Brandon Aiyuk; Dante Pettis
SWR: Kendrick Bourne; Trent Taylor
ZWR: Deebo Samuel

Hurd, Benjamin and Taylor are injury risks they may roll the dice on but why carry Benjamin when they can release him and bring him back after learning the system in camp. Let Pettis be a "positionless" backup and 4th WR.

Keep Hurd on the roster and send Jennings to practice squad, they can bring him up if Hurd goes down.

Taylor would be great to have healthy for the year.

A veteran that doesn't dress on game days? I don't see that as particularly valuable.

With the new rules, you could have 6 WRs active, or 4 RBs active plus Juice now that it's 48 Active on Game Days.
We opened last season with 7 WR's on the roster I believe. I could easily see that happen again. I think the 7th spot is between James and Benjamin. I hope James outshines him in preseason.
I think with the new 17 game schedule there is a 55 man roster. I think they would keep and extra OL and DB. But that could help Jennings to make the team. However he ran slow and if you watch he sometimes looks slow. He runs hard and I like that. Not sure what there plans are but they drafted him for a reason. Maybe he gets hurt, last year 7th was hurt in training camp. maybe they try to get him to practice squad depending on how he looks in preseason? WR position is going to be competitive for the last spot in the squad. Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, Kendrick Bourne make it and if Jalen Hurd healthy he is in. That would be 4 with 2 or 3 more and Trent Taylor, Dante Pettis, Benjamin, Jennings, Richie James Jr, and Chris Finke trying for the last 2 or 3 spots. That's 6 guy going for 2 or 3 spots. Out of those 6 I think Taylor, Pettis, and Benjamin have the best shot at making team. After last year Pettis could easily get cut and they keep Jennings. If they keep Only 6 WR I'm not sure how he would make it. Could he be listed as a TE or Hurd listed as a TE ? That would help him make the team.

No Shawn poindexter?! Get outta here

As much as you all hate Pettis, he'll have a better chance on making the team than most other than Deebo,Aiyuk and KB. KS usually don't give up easily on players he drafted, especially the ones he traded up for. Take S.Thomas(DL) and J.Williams(RB) for an example, Solly is still on the team and it took Williams 2 bad unproductive seasons for KS to quit on him. Pettis is a 2nd rounder and only had one bad season. He'll get another chance to redeem himself.

With things are the way it is with this Pandemic. Pettis holds a great advantage over the rookies by playing, practicing and knowing the system for 2 years. He'll at least make the roster with experienced alone for at least the first 6 weeks until the rookies catch up with knowledge of KS's system.

Don't count Pettis out just yet..

Very realistic too.

You really think Joe Williams was IRed for a serious injury? Or he's was stashed there to avoid getting cut in his rookie year? I don't recall him getting seriously injured in TC, I only recalled him sucking pretty bad when he had his chance.

Yup, one of those new roster spots has to go to a offensive lineman as well.

But why wouldn't you want an extra defender active to balance it out? Even if you have one of the WRS only as a ST guy tha'ts 5 other WR's. We aren't Arizona. Kyle likes Tight ends.

The 2nd guy active on gamedays amongst the 48 should be a defender/st guy.
a pure PS stash until he proves otherwise. Not sure why he gets 25 pages lol
