Agreed. That's the type of attitude that should be rewarded whenever possible.

Amazing, anybody who shows up for work while under contract should get a raise!

You did say that a player with the type of attitude to show up for work when under contract should be rewarded whenever possible ... what kind of reward did you mean if not a raise?

You inserted the word "anybody", which I didn't say or imply. I was strictly talking about players in Juan's situation. A player who feels like he has outperformed his existing contract, let's it be known he wants a raise more in line with his market value, but not letting it get to the point of not honoring that contract and still showing up to show he is putting the team before his personal situation. That is the type of professional attitude I was speaking to. I also said they should be rewarded "whenever possible", so the player may do all the right things but the team simply can't afford to give them a raise. Either way, he's going about it the right way by showing a team first mentality. Me personally, I don't like guys asking for new contracts only a year after agreeing to a new one but I at least get it. I hope he balls out and proves what he's worth to force the issue and either the Niners pay him or someone else will in the offseason. My guess is he plays out this year and is gone in the offseason.

Agree! That's real Leadership.

So, you are just excluding the players who know they are overpaid already ... because the rest of them probably openly want a raise and think they are better than their contracts.![]()
Makes the whole thing really suspect that Kyle said he never asked for a trade ... so where did any of this stuff come from since we know part of it was supposedly a lie.

I'm glad he's practicing. He deserves more money. But that he is with us and practicing is good. That's great because we need him. He's the best, most reliable, most healthy, most productive WR we have right now.

Just shows a level of maturity we haven't seen from the other wr the last few years.
