I really.... REALLLY doubt it.

Maybe....but his routs are VERY sloppy, and he has a habit of telling you its a draw and not an actual pass.

He is going to need coaching for sure, but physically he looks a mobile tackle in space, even when he is lined up at SE.

We don't want to be overly critical of a 6th round draft choice, but i don't think he was a hidden Kittle 2.0.

Kittle is vasty different in that he was damn fast and was a former WR. Not sure what Woerner's background is, but I'm just hoping for strong blocking and can catch the occasional pass because he will largely be uncovered. If don't think he will catch 20 passes in a season.

Perfect TE2 prospect based on all the run blocking grades being posted. Will not be a liability in the run game. The offensive system will help him get touches in the passing game if needed.

I like the idea of Juice 2.0 - Jusczick is getting a little long in the tooth and we do need some TE depth. I love the way he catches the ball, sorta kinda a little bit like George in that regard.

One thing I'll never do is question our scouting staff when it comes to late round player evaluations. Hell even Kaden Smith looked good last season after we waived him and the Giants picked him up.

Our front office seems to repeatedly find late round gems and hopefully this is another one.

its not easy finding guys this late in the draft that will make a Super Bowl team better. Taking punters in the 4th and getting guys like this in the 6th......

I like it

They are drafting guys who will contribute and not just sit on the bench.

If we think what they did with Kittle last year, the stuff that kept him in to block and not go into a pattern....this is stuff Woerner is actually good at. I don't think there was a better TE in this draft to contribute in that manner.

This guy played a lot of WR. While he is slower, and has been referred to as undersized...he is generally a big dude that wants to hit people. Add that to the 49ers REALLLY focused on RAC guys.... it does not take a rocket scientist to see that this is a guy can line up in multi WR sets for screens and sweeps. He is an able and willing blocker to help let these RAC guys go off.

Its a 6th round pick we can all easily see performing a job on this offense....you cant ask more then that.

He's 28 or 29 and in the prime of his career. I can see this comment in 2 or 3 years, but now?

Just from the cut ups on youtube he looks more athletic on tape than his measurables would make you believe.

Granted its just the combine but he's #19 in this group, definitely the best looking blocker in terms of leverage.

Funny post
Daniel Jeremiah was just giving him glowing reviews on ESPN. Called him the best blocking TE and special teams player in the draft. If that's all he contributes to this team, then it's still a great late round pick.
Keep in mind, Kittle was seen as a blocking TE as well. In Kyle I trust. This is working out to be one of the better drafts in a long time.
ST player. GL / 3rd and short TE. Not bad.

This guy is too tall to play FB.

two different players. and Kittle ran a 4.5, this guy almost a 4.8.

Agreed. What I was saying is that in *some* packages he can spot Juice for a breather because of his skill set. We know Shanny likes swiss army multi-position abilities, so some of Juice's non-pocket assignments may be able to go to the kid.
Anyone comping this to Kittle is being silly. He's more Tolilo then him.

TE/FB ST

TE/FB ST

Definitely in the mold of Toilolo and Celek. 8-15 receptions a year for 100 yards as a run blocking specialist and special teams ace.
