Not everyone has to follow that and there are different ways to handle things correctly. Everyone is different - stop putting players in a box and tell them how they should behave.
I'd be pissed too if I were kinlaw. He's a bust.

Grant Cohn is literally the only press guy who asks any hard hitting questions. The rest of the 9ers press corps are a bunch of wusses. I guess kinlaw can only play for the 9ers cause if he went anywhere else on the NFL they would chew him up and spit him out. Philly? NY? Chicago? Good job kinlaw. You won't be around too much longer.

Whatever.
yeah, it's better to let kinlaw go off like a complete tool and embarass himself and the organization. Better not to correct $hitty behavior……..

I remember watching the TC coverage last year from just about every reporter including Cohn. He was really laying into Kinlaw pretty much every single day and I remember thinking then that it felt like it was crossing a line. It came off as a personal beef. Like why does a beat reporter need to spend a segment of every daily TC practice report talking about how one player is mentally weak and a bust for not practicing in 11v11s when he doesn't even know why he is being held out? It just felt pointlessly excessive and mean-spirited.

he is a 1st round pick and he is getting out played by 6th rounders.

He is? He was injured last year. Even if he is playing poorly, it doesn't mean that a reporter should be using his position and access to just insult him repeatedly for weeks on end.

Kinlaw will still get fined. It will be like $5.

Possible suspension.. not good for a guy who's been mostly on I.R

lol he's not getting suspended for that

I agree everyone is different. I further agree no one should tell anyone else how to behave. But to imply Kinlaw handled things correctly is patently absurd.

Thought KP said it perfectly (another fellow "reporter")

Deebo, Kinlaw, Pettis, etc...man, we sure have some mentally soft players. So much for the "49ers Way" formula.

It's not soft to call out someone that continually slanders you the way Cohn does to these athletes. He runs his mouth about them nonstop and when one finally has had enough, he turns straight b***h and starts complaining about his mistreatment.

You think a single guy in that locker room has even a slight bit of respect for Cohn? Especially a guy like Kinlaw who had the exact opposite of the privileged upbringing that Cohn did. Someone that has dealt with real difficulty and struggle in their life beyond deciding to vacation in Tahoe or Cabo.

Imagine calling Kinlaw soft after all the s**t that guy has been through.

lol this.

Ppl can't handle criticism on a public forum where they are anonymous and their family and friends don't see that s**t - but defend ppl like Cohn who have made a living out of insulting players. GTFOH.

If true about him knocking Grants cap off, it's very possible. You can't be lashing out like that.
old man Cohn had a decent take every once in a while tho, Grant is always out of left field and jumps to conclusions

Dude was emotional. He wasn't bill belichick that's for sure. I think it was just the pent up frustration of everything for a couple yrs. Grant just poked the bear too much.

I'm not a fan of grant but geez, grant didn't say anything personal about the guy. Nothing. All his takes were football related. So if the guys a bust no one can report that cause it might hurt their feelings? Maybe we should ban all reporters for fear they might hurt the million dollar players feelings……..
"dude has had a hard life so he gets a pass on any sort of criticism whatsoever". Sounds like that's what some here are saying.
