Not gonna knock on McKinnon but McHasty has that young burst and reminds me more of Mostert hitting the holes with breakaway speed.
They might not want to put this dude back on the PS when Coleman is back. He will be on another team before they can protect him.
Seemed to get positive yards every time he got the ball

Agreed. We are going to either need to trade one of these backs or put one IR and leave them there until needed. My guess is Wilson may go on IR when Coleman returns.

Hasty, is not a small back, he's a SHORT BACK !!

"Take a look at this.....It's not small it's thin"

Lol Deuce Bigalow

Yep yep... if it's smell like a rat, it's a rat !!
I'm sure in one of my past threads, I wrote about this player climbing to 49ers roster spot as at least the no. 2 RB. I know Mostert is our feature back but I've been waiting for a solid type of back who likes to take a lot of pounding but can still produce positive yardage and has the speed to win foot races when given the opportunity. I think Hasty could be this guy.
He definitely looks like a player that wants more touches.

agree,,, the first run for 9 yards.. i was done with jet. give this kid some work this week and let him get the touches if mostert can not go.. the coaches can not do to mostert what they did with jimmy last week... play him if he is not ready. hope wilson is back. give hasty the work and bring in jet to pass block and catch passes
Very impressed with him in the 4qtr.. im hoping for a healthy Mostert next week, but if not i believe this kid could handle it
Jet does not read his blocks as well as Hasty and does not seem to run with quite the same pop or low center of gravity.

I was impressed with his vision and quickness. He also finished with some forward lean. Nice combo.

I got the sense Hasty might need to clean up his footwork a little in the backfield, but that's ticky-tacky on my part. I loved his play overall and his burst in particular. The potential is obvious.
Hasty reminds me of a Maurice Jones Drew. You could see the offense come alive in the 4th when Hasty came in. Mckinnon drags this offense down imo

Mostert runs the 40 in 4.3 and was timed at 23 MPH, the fastest time in the NFL in 5 years!
Hasty is a good little runner and an excellent backup but his speed of 4.55 is not exceptional and won't win many foot races.

Coleman should have been cut long ago...
