Too old for trick plays.
Goodbye sweet dreams.
I guess it had to happen when Kyle never does anything special and that this phase had been bad.
Time to hit the snooze button/bathroom break during our ST plays again. As long as we win I do not care.

As a 4th round pick, was expecting Andy Lee type kicking, but he has been meh the whole time.

49ers released P Mitch Wishnowsky and officially signed P Thomas Morstead and LB Chazz Surratt to one-year deals.

this shows to me a lack of understanding. pat mcafee, he played the position. he talked about lee, and said lee was just kicking the ball as hard as he can each time essentially. wish has every club in the bag, meaning he puts a different spin on it nearly every kick to fit the situation. it's something maybe casual viewers aren't appreciating. he was a must watch specialist and imo even better than lee.

Idk about better than Lee, maybe in technique. I never understood the hate or "meh". Thought Wish was a good punter definitely didn't live up to the 4th round selection. I was always for reaching for a punter or kicker granted a 3rd is a bit to high. Think if you can get an elite K/P in the 4th its worth it but after Wish/Moody I'm starting to change my mind

there was another punter, isaac punts on youtube, he's been highlighting the insane stuff Wish has been doing for year. he was a collegiate punter and spent years punting himself is my understanding. these are guys who have done it, mcafee won a ring playing the game as a specialist, easy to forget as he's now a media personality but he knows his stuff on punting.
can't put dang moody and wish in the same sentence bro, what is this

yeah it's the back issues, he missed time last year and into this offseason apparently,
this is a spot you need someone active. there's no bench for punters. puts the club in a tough spot when a specialist can't go

Not saying Wish is as bad as Moody just pointing at the correlation of where they were both drafted you want more of a return.

I doubt it but hopefully no team signs him due to his injury and he comes back after he gets healthy. Like you said you can't have a punter on the bench taking a roster spot

i liked wish
most round 3s are TDP / Sermon / Latu and those types. heck look at drake jackson, round 2. that's typical. if you are a 6 year or so starter, that's hitting on your pick. i'd say he outperformed a typical round 4 by a long shot

no he's probably gone. that's why we got joseph. gotta do a kicker competition or camp battle. looking at moody's numbers last year, i don't see him in a SF uniform.

What even happened to our LS? I thought he was supposed to be good but we released him for a 39yr old?
That 39 year old has consistently been one of the best long snappers in football.

Never seen a kicker get so much leash. Incredible.
