It's strange to me that people seem to be ignoring that a) Deebo already had an injury season, b) we were complaining this season that Kyle was going to get him injured by overusing him and c) players with his playstyle (running backs) don't last long.

I hope we keep him, and I'm sure we will. But $20+ million a year seems steep without an injury clause…. And I don't think it's fair to Deebo to attempt to get him to sign an injury clause.

S**t , every single one of our running backs have been injured consistently the last few years.

The dude is an absolute stud….I hope he gets what the money he wants. I also hope we don't overpay just to see him get hurt in the first few games.

What is an injury clause?

every damn player has the same ability to get hurt. It's football.

pay the man and let's move on.

🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Ignoring the injury rate and career length of running backs doesn't make it go away. I can see you're invested in your opinion… I'll leave you to it

The question is will he age like a running back or a receiver. If he gets paid mega money I'm not comfortable using him like we did last season. Which of u don't makes him possibly not worth his new deal. It's a tough spot

He had 50 rushing attempts. That's 3.4 rushing attempts a game over 17 games.

How many times was he banged up or gimpy during a game. Especially in the playoffs. It's a big risk. I hope he's back I'm js. Even as a pass catcher he takes and gives hits.

Bosa is well known for his physical conditioning. He should have another 10 plus years of being great. Deebos shown up out of shape in the past and with his play style he may be old by the time he's 28-30

Conditioning has nothing to do with someone tackling you and your leg bends the wrong way.

you're complaining about injuries and Bosa has missed more games.

shouldn't have payed Trent & Kittle either according to you. For sure not Jimmy lol.
Hey if u don't agree with my opinion I can give a rats ass. I'm js im more comfortable with paying bosa for multiple reasons.

Injury rate? Running the ball 3 times a game doesn't make you a running back.

I asked what an injury clause is?

How many seasons was Trent an all pro? Sure more than one lmfao. Kittle makes beans compared to the top receivers and jimmy stinks.

Why though? It can't be about injuries because he's missed more games then Deebo. Same with Kittle. Trent has missed a bunch of games throughout his career…were you against paying them?

you want him to prove it again. The price goes up all the same.

Give me a team of Deebos. Dude is football and put this team on is back.

I'm seriously not arguing about him getting paid. I'm just concerned with how he's gonna be used used once he is. R u comfortable running him up the middle at 30 mil a year? I'm not. And if u aren't doing what makes him special than will he be worth it

Where is $30m coming from? There isn't a single WR making $30M per so let's stop throwing that number out.

who cares if he runs the ball 3 times a game…he's 5-11 215-220lbs. Dude is bigger than and RB we have on the roster.

yes he's an amazing at running BUT he's a damn good WR. He can beat man. He can run all those in breaking routes. He can one those one on ones on the outside. He finds the soft spots in zone and he's a beast with the ball in his hands.

pay him and then pay Bosa. It's the whole damn reason they haven't spent money in FA and have a QB on a rookie contract.

Well we don't know what's true or not but it's rumored he wanted top receiver money which would put him at or over 28 a year. All the other wide outs who got paid had multiple really good seasons.

These are the real contacts for Hill and Adams.

hill 4yrs $95M (possibly a little less if cut)
adams 3yrs $68M

also the whole point of paying a player is what they are gonna do not what they've already done.

SF made Jimmy the highest paid QB for a hot min after 5 games. He got paid based on what he was gonna do. Right or wrong that's what it should be…this organization who's around Deebo more than any of us should know his worth.

Jimmy's situation was different. U just traded for him. U couldn't just let him walk. They would be completely assed out. Jimmy's camp had all the leverage. Deebo doesn't. He can hold out sure. But either way he has a year left on his contract plus the franchise tag.

Do u think he is a top 5 pure receiver? I'm not so sure about that yet. Hill and adams have 5 plus seasons of dominance. Plus u would think a lower risk of Injury

everybody knows his worth, but is Deebo humble enough to negotiate

Agreed. One major year of production isn't bringing a whole lot to the table.
cut him and extend Jimmy.
