I said that he was a lot like McGlinchey in terms of his maturity and leadership ability. Hope Deebo balls out because Risner should be a long term NFL starter on the OL.

It's killing me listening to the Broncos radio. They are tagging on Fant. And saying if you didn't know where they were drafted you would think Risner was a top 10 pick and Fant was a mid round draft pick.

Richie James, KB, Matthews one of these guys is gonna end up being cut. Instead we could keep them all and have a OG to start for the next 4+ years

Last year at this time many in this forum were talking about how good we were at receivers. Some guys even said we had two number 1 receivers in Garcon and Goodwin. We are doing this all over again this year as if Mathews, KB, and Richie James are all really good.

I thought he should have been our pick in the 2nd rd given our weakness at OG.

I don't care if Deebo becomes Jerry Rice 2.0. A good o linemen is more important than a WR

It's harder to find jerry rice then it is to find a good IOL...sorry gonna disagree on that.

I'd say college is pumping out great receivers pretty regularly. Not so much with o linemen.

I'd say the last 13 WRs drafted in the 1st rd since 2015 (not counting this yrs because we have no idea yet)...outside of Cooper (who's had ups and downs) have been busts for the most part
If we're talking IOL (which is what we need) you don't need to draft one high IMO...you do need a good OL coach and need to find scheme fits there. I like Risner (was in a lot of my mocks) BUT they wanted to upgrade the WR position, which was probably the worst position groups last yr. I would have rather they drafted IOL the yr before when there was actual depth in the draft.
I also think it's much harder to take a late/mid rd pick at WR and make them a starter vs a mid/late RD IOL. I think it's more about technique and being smart at IOL vs WR.

Totally, and its not even like there is much of a need for top tier WR's anyways in today's run-first league. Just look at this past offseason, teams had zero interest in the 2 top wide receivers while the top O-lineman got all the huge contracts and headlines. Who wants a Jerry Rice when you can have a Willie Roaf?

How many Super Bowls have these elite receivers won recently in this passing league.
Receivers are a completely dependent position that's why they say build inside out. So when you have the best defensive player in your division maybe you should address him by helping out the inside of your line. Nope instead we get receivers who are good I'm not saying they aren't but no QB has completed a pass on his back. It's great to have receivers who can get open but I'd take the position that helps the running and passing game. Sorry for having a different thought process for building a team. But receivers are so f**king overrated as far as having a good one equaling wins.
