Dude brought football back to the city of Houston, gave hundreds of millions to charity, especially in the Houston area, funding all kinds of things from after school programs to scholarships and more, RIP Bob.

It's a shame that this quote is something that immediately jumps out when his name comes up.
He did a lot of really positive things and his passing is sad, that said in the America he grew up in it's not surprising he had those sorts of opinions, may the next generation of owner be more open minded.

"Inmates running the prison" is an actual expression. It has nothing to do with race. He was just too old and out of touch to think about how the over sensitive PC culture of today would take it.
To sum up his life as "Just an old white racist" without knowing anything about him is even more ignorant than his remark.
