Kinda like how the Niners hit gold with Gore and then went out of their way for ACL torn players. Fournette should have been the pick last year, not Solomon. Or one of the many other legit backs in this year and last years draft. Remember we traded away the pick that landed Kamara. And now are paying Jerick McKinnon $40 mil lol
WTF you talking about?
-Steve Slaton went for 1200 yards his rookie yr in Houston with Kyle as OC (3rd rd pick)
-Alfred Morris goes off for 1,600 rushing yards as a 6th rd pick
-Gets over 1,300+ rushing yards out of Terrance west (3rd rd pick) and Isaiah Crowell (UDFA) his one yr in Cleveland.
ATL-freeman multiple 1k seasons as a 3rd pick etc
Dude knows the RB he wants...williams might not work out but who gives a s**t about a 4th rd RB.
The great Fournette ran for under 4 ypc and isn't a fit for OZS
Dude was a beast at WV. It's pretty hard to call Mckinnon an bum. Now I'm not so sure if he's lead back full workhorse material. And I'm not sure how he'll hold up. But you can't deny the guy has talent.

I think Slaton was actually smaller than McKinnon? he was a beast in college.
I agree he might not be a workhorse, but you don't need that in today's NFL. Ex: Look at McCaffrey. If McKinnon can get us 1,500 all-purpose yards then he's well worth the money. People forget how much he opens Kyle's playbook as well.

It was interesting hearing Kyle talk about the fact that they were talking about bringing in Morris a day before McKinnon went down which then made it a necessity...but they wanted to bring him in because he can take the pounding inside and is such a different back and we currently have a group of RB's all with the same skill set. It's nice to hear him flip a bit and make an adjustment.

It's going to be so sad if we start out with Warner - Lee or have to move Warner to WILL and start Coyle at MIKE again.

Gonna be even more difficult to win up in MIN now. I already had us taking an L but now I'm even more confident.

I don't think the RB would even have mattered...OL might get destroyed unless something changes quickly over the next few weeks.

If they drafted a decent RB. They wouldn't need to bring in alfred .
That's my opinion on McKinnon he has never been better than 3rd string barring injury. Fournette carries the Jags to the AFC championship with sh*t QB play. Even if not Fournette, there were better backs who could catch available via draft the last two years. But hey. Maybe one of these pans out or they get it done as a unit. Hyde was a much better runner than McKinnon regardless of system and will probably have a fine year in Cleveland
