This is a good signing. I thought about him when discussing running backs in the Hyde thread. It's perfect in that he can run and catch and probably block. I don't think he will be the relied upon solely as the only back which is a good thing in my opinion. This guy should help immensely on offense though.

Wow, the more film i see on him, the more i like. Speed kills and the jet has it. Also really good hands, and has good quickness in addition to speed. The contract? Well it's FA and everything gets exaggerated here, ie contract wise.

Damn I don't want to watch 30 minutes of Case Keenum highlights. Maybe later today. Thanks.
You know it must be bad when the 'film guy' thinks twice about watching it.

Any clips of this guy pass blocking? PFF rated him as a good pass blocker. I'm assuming that for RBs it's about blitz pickup.
Best option would be to watch Case Keenum highlights.

I watched his game vs the Bears last season and his pass blocking looked 'meh' in that one. Going to watch some more over the next few days.

Well you aren't going to find RB pass blocking highlights. So this is the only way.

If anyone understand the importance of PP from a RB, it's Kyle.

Some observations:
1. McKinnon is open a lot
2. Makes some nice blocks
3. Keenum doesn't know how to slide.

I was impressed with that one play at the 10 minute mark, I think he took on a 250 lb (with raw eyes) blitzing LB and held his ground. The LB had at least a 5 yard start and timed the blitz perfectly to shoot the gap the moment the ball was hiked, and McKinnon was able to literally stick his head in there and hold his ground and pass protect the QB. I swear the guy looked like he outweighed McKinnon by at least 50 Lbs.

Jerick McKinnon's contract with the 49ers basically is a very expensive one-year deal.

Please never quote Grant Cohn again.![]()

There are a lot of contract breakdowns out there. You're right in that people focus too much of contract totals and too little on contract specifics. Per usual, it's a reasonable team-friendly deal.
, people who quote Grant Cohn should be banned
. If you want *real cap analysis* instead of click bait junk food, I recommend AB8 and his threads and his site, dude is a cap *genius.*
