There is a long history of ex-49ers going to Kansas City and continuing their interest as a second team. With Alex Smith now in Washington, assuming he signs the contract come March, let's put KC comments here. I'll start by saying KC struck a huge blow for improving their team with the Smith trade: The key to the deal was Kendall Fuller. He fills the biggest need KC had: CB. By the end of this past season, Reid had a choice of ex-49er Kenneth Acker or a washed-up Darrelle Revis at corner. Both were responsible for plays that led to losses. This is brilliant for KC. A secondary weakness becomes a strength, they get out of salary cap hell, and they get a 3rd round draft pick this year. Arizona had no way to match this deal in value to KC. A three-way win for KC. Of course the key will be whether or not Patrick Mahomes can play well on a consistent basis. With only one league game behind him, he will have a heavy load on his shoulders starting the new season.

So salty. Tom Brady was seen as a system qb for a like half a decade. It's not the insult that you think it is. It's just saying his success wouldn't happen everywhere.

Yah right. Mahomes has terrible receivers. They lead the league in dropped passes. Did you nit see those drops on passes thrown right to the receivers. Scantling had a perfect pass go through his hands on a 3rd and 25 that would have been a first down. He dropped a perfect pass in th 4th quarter that could have resulted in a Chiefs win. Kelce had a couple of drops. How good would Purdy be with that bunch of receivers?

Yeah he was. It's true. But it's the WZ know it all guys who said this. A high end elite QB can't score 17 in a game. Any elite QB is better than that. That would NEVER happen. But what did we just watch happen here with Mahomes?

It's ball placement. You need better ball placement. That's what the WZ know it all guys say. A QB is always responsible for drops.

pretty sure the Chiefs let the Eggles win that toward the end. When is the last time you've seen Travis Swifty fumble? Mahomes with a endzone pick?

They would rather face the Eggles in the SB than the niners. Plus, the other Kelce bros is on the Eagles.

Gonna be hard for the niners to grab Home field playoffs but , hey, that's what happens when you leave Trent and Deebo in at garbage time overworking them.

Chiefs are vulnerable this year. Worse than when we faced them.

If you chip Kelce and then double him or give safety help and get pressure then their offense can be stopped unlike years past.

There's a good chance they could slip and leave the door open for Miami, or Baltimore, or the bills.

mahomes looks awful this year. don't care about his lack of options, when you say you are the best QB in the nfl everyday you can't make any more excuses. He has been outplayed by Zach wilson and now Jordan love.

Refs got a lot of work to do to get them in the AFC Championship game and Super Bowl.
