Seems like all of you should "let it go" or just ignore each other.

So.....?

Its really interesting how some mods protect him like hes some god here. But Kap, you can say all the messed up things about him and mods dont say anything lol.

Create a Alex Smith positive things only thread then.

How are you guys gonna try and police what others want to say about Smith? Even if its the same old stuff, who cares...its a freaking football forum.

I have to disagree. Mods are just doing their job proactively stepping in to prevent unnecessary flame wars and/or continued beatings of long dead horses.

Point is, you have one mod saying this isnt a safe zone, then another mod saying it is...

and you cant have it both ways either. If i can go into the Kap thread and call him a pos racist loser and nothing will happen, then English shouldnt be coming in here telling ppl to be nice to Alex or only discuss current situations. The message should be no trolling and dont attack other posters. Not lets not be mean to Alex or you get bounced.

Both of them essentially said the same thing, just in different ways.

Come on bro. You know it's trolling now. This thread is a joke, we can't even discuss this man's injury without people ridiculing his play from when he was a rookie. It's nonsense.

This. Nicely stated.

Kap's thread isn't football related. His thread is political. And you know how those threads go...

At this point rehashing the same criticisms of Smith's play, especially out of the blue, is just an attempt to incite. Everyone on this forum knows how this thread goes.

If the mods are tired of repeated arguments they need to go to Shanny thread and bar the name Harbaugh. Point is it's a football forum so people will debate the past.

I concur.

It is hard to imagine anything from the past that has not been hashed and rehashed a dozen times over with no change in position by any poster. So if that warms your water, have at it, but it accomplishes nothing except run the risk of warnings.

Theres so many threads besides that one where the same can be said. But mods are okay with picking and choosing which thread those rules apply to.

Whatever...i wasnt involved in that initial convo, just my 2 cents.

And sac, i hear you, but youre not taking the most moderate stance on this either. I think what me, cc, tjd are saying that the same rules should apply everywhere. Ive been in that JH thread too, and its non stop rehashing history and that thread getting trolled. Wu was constantly getting trolled in that thread and mods rarely did anything. But since most the mods didnt like JH or Kap, its cool to troll those threads and make fun of people who like those two.

Ill also end this talk here. Ill post in the mods thread if needed...

Wu was dealt with a a very reasonable fashion, although the mods had no choice eventually but to ban him. He got trolled, usually, because of his style and manner of posting and he was asked a number of times to moderate it. I don't dislike Kaepernick, and Harbaugh is a thing of the past. Fairly daft to suggest that we moderate based on this but this point has been discussed on a number of occasions. You and cc enjoy accusing the mods of bias. It gets to the point where there is no value in discussing it. The last couple of pages in this thread are a good example. Other posters disagree with you, but you both have closed minds on the subject.

So there it is.
Looks like he got that big ugly brace removed.

Highest percentage of "checkdowns" over last two seasons (screens are play calls, not checkdowns):

1. Bortles 11.2%
2. Kizer 10.4
3. Eli Manning 10.2
4. Osweiler 9.7
5. Brissett 9.3
6. Alex Smith 9.1
6. Flacco 9.1
8. Tyrod Taylor 8.7
8. Rivers 8.7
10. Carr 8.4

Bortles is officially captain check down

lol, what? This list does little more than prove that checking down neither signifies a good nor a bad player, as half of the above players are proven winners and/or have been honored with plenty of All Star accolades (see below).

Eli Manning: Winning record over his career, 4x Pro Bowler, 2x Super Bowl Champion and Super Bowl MVP

Joe Flacco: Winning record over his career, Super Bowl Champion and Super Bowl MVP

Philip Rivers: Winning record over his career, 8x Pro Bowler and numerous other accolades

Alex Smith: Winning record over his career, 3x Pro Bowler

Derek Carr: 3x Pro Bowler

Eli and Flacco have sucked for years. Alex has always sucked. Carr has been up and down. The only QB on that list that I have respect for (for their level of play today) is Rivers.

Can't say I expected any other response than that. That's your opinion. I have mine. I'll leave it at that.
