If you win your division you automatically get a first round home game.

That's not how it works. 3 seed hosts 6 seed and 4 seed hosts 5 seed

The Rams resting players basically says that they wouldn't mind losing and being the 4th seed, because theyd face a Wentz-less Eagles in the next round over that Vikings D.

OP is referring to the Conference game. And he's right.

I get that but if the Rams and saints play in the nfc championship game which I expect to happen the game would be played in New Orleans if the are the higher seed. Am I wrong?

No you're not wrong, I hadn't thought of that. Maybe the Rams haven't either lol. If they have, then the potential embarrassment of losing to the 5-10 Niners outweighs a potential home NFC championship game. That tells you how much teams are afraid of the Niners and JG right now. I hope we beat them 52-10.

If they are risking that nfc championchip home game they are "not smart" I hop it costs them. Go Saints!

The odds of the 3 seed hosting the 4 seed are very, very low. I think the only time it's ever happened is the 2006 AFC Championship

The Rams just want their star players healthy for the playoffs. There are a few other teams who believe the NFCCG will be in their stadium, so calling it in New Orleans now is a but premature IMO (even though the Saints are my pick to be NFC champs).

I remember our Harbaugh teams playing in that Saints Dome, man it made it difficult to call plays. I agree with you both, Rams at the Saints dome, would be Advantage Saints in my opinion.

Been following NFL football for a long time. I've never seen a team throw a game that might mean something. Rookie Mistake!
