Just listen to what David Carr had to say from the quarterback's perspective.

Quarterbacks are humans too, they want to feel wanted and appreciated by the organization.

I keep telling people, you can't just tag people like if it has no ill effect on the person whatsoever.

Like I have been saying along, pay the man and get it done!! Go in with a genuine legit offer and not some lame as* low-ball trying to save a few bucks type deal. Make sure Jimmy knows he is massively appreciated and wanted by the 49ers to kick-start a beautiful relationship.

I am not sure what number will get it done, but I am thinking around $140 mil for 5 years.
