Finish 0-4 and we're sitting at #3 overall but we're not totally out of the tiebreaker race with the Giants for #2
Finish 1-3 #4 (Ind and Den play each other next week, we win tiebreaker over Chi)
Finish 2-2 #7 (almost #6, we win tb over Tampa, we're barely behind Hou)
Finish 3-1 ? (way down, maybe as low as #13 - idk for sure)

Finish 4-0?

na we still should lol. we would worry about trading up for a guy like nelson as opposed to trading down.

I really, really doubt 5-11 would drop us to #13...

Sorry it was a high moment. We dont need* a game breaking TE
Thanks for the catch
With a qb like jimmy, even with an unimpressive supporting cast, expect to see us win at least half of our remaining games. Not a chance jimmy goes 0-4.

So tired of this opinion. We havent had a #1 WR since Terrell Owens. At some point, we are going to need to have receivers that are playing their designed spots, not having every one of our receivers playing up.

And what on earth do you mean that Kyle has shown in ATL? He had Julio Freakin Jones in ATL.

Shanny has been blessed with good/great WRs as a coordinator. Andre Johnson, Santana Moss, Garcon, Julio Jones for example.

Lol, what a hilarious take

Niner fans grew up watching Rice, Taylor, Owens. And now we are taking the value of a great WR for granted?

My bad i meant game breaking TE! Hust a Smokey moment

So do I but since I haven't calculated the SOS and looked at the remaining schedules of the 5 win teams, I didn't want to sound like I had.

Ted Robinson was on KNBR just now and said when he saw that play "I dirtied myself right there..."

What we are seeing, albeit with a small sample, is what happens when a nice college player is allowed the time to sit behind a very good starting QB, in a good, settled system, with good coaching, and learn - day-by-day-by-day. Not being rushed into the fray to "save the franchise " but allowed to assimilate into the pro game.

We are also seeing a very mature young man who from his high school days was willing to go through the drudgery of working on his fundamentals. Footwork. Release point. Hip and shoulder angle. Finger position. ...all that stuff. Even after he "hit the big-time" at New England behind Brady, he did his homework. He studied. He learned.

Aaron Rodgers did the same thing in Green Bay.

It is a formula that works. Now SF gets to reap the fruit of seeing what a finished product really looks like.

I won't mention how it is too bad we screwed up the previous two guys that came in here and had none of that. Oh, wait. I already did. NVM
