Suns out, guns out. I dunno if his arms have always been that big, looking pretty strong and thick.

When I saw Colin demolish the Peckers in the Playoffs, I thought Colin would eventually turn into a QB like Jimmy. Both QB's were 2nd round draft choices, but that's where most of the similarities end. Now I'm inclined to think Harbaugh's success with Luck was because David Shaw was his OC at Stanford. Harbaugh has had a very difficult time developing QB's at Michigan since he left the 49ers. Kyle on the other hand picks a guy like BeatHard and trades for Jimmy and were set at QB for a very long time. Wow! I just hope our HC never fires our OC.

Let's hope he doesn't hire one

If he does, I have no doubt they'll become HC'S down the road. Holmgren and Mike Shanahan did that for Bill. It may be a very smart move never to hire an OC that can take all Kyle's secrets and use it against him. Then again his QB coach probably is a part time OC, and if we lose Scangarello to be an OC somewhere else, it's the same thing. Drat.

The moment when Kyle decided that he wasn't gonna watch Hoyer at QB all year.
Does anyone know why there's no OTA thread? O/T - Charger starting TE Hunter Henry just reported to possibly have torn his ACL in obviously a no contact padless OTA practice. Not trying to jinx anything, but it makes me think football injuries are highly unpredictable. Sometimes you simply have to have good fortune from the football gods.

You could tell how pissed Shanahan was that that ugly throw cost us that game right there. If it's on target, that puts us in FG range and we win late in the fourth. Good grief Hoyer was horrendous.

Just out of curiosity are you guys able to see the S coming completely untouched that hits Hoyer right as he throws and obviously makes it so Hoyer can't complete his throw and it ends up short and to the right?

Yeah, not sure all the blame should be on Hoyer on that one. Should he have known the safety will be free from the defensive alignment...thrown more timely ball... maybe Kyle was disgusted with the OLine equally...

I know one thing, Hoyer's arm strength just doesn't allow him to over come anything like that past 20 yards. He has to have good protection and time to step into that longer pass.

I think Kyle just said, if I'm gonna lose games, I'm gonna develop a rookie qb while losing, not with a place holder qb in Hoyer.

Jimmy gave the team competency and better talent at qb. Changed the whole dynamic of the team. Very similar to what Alex Smith did for the Chief in his first year there.
