I was thinking the other day...if every QB has a weakness, what's Jimmy's?!

Don't even say his footwork, or his long ball.

his long ball

Definitely his long ball

Based on what? The fact that Kyle didn't really call many in his 5 starts?
How would you know if he had long balls?

When he did throw it, he didn't throw it well. But it could be a case of lack of knowledge of the playbook, not a lot of chemistry with the receivers, and a s**tty o-line that can't block for more than a second.
Threw a great long ball to Carlos Hyde but since it was Carlos Hyde it had no chance of being completed.

Long ball is rarely a strength...especially when a QB comes into a new scheme midway through the season.

I'm confident he'll improve on it next year...though as long as he's hitting the short/intermediate stuff on the regular I'm ok if the long ball isn't clicking every time we attempt it.

Had some inaccurate deep throws. Small sample size though.

I think he'll fix it but he struggled with his deep passes. It wasnt many so I'm not really worried about it, but its ok to say he isn't perfect. He'll be fine

Jimmy GQ has some work to do to get better, and that's the fun thing if you are a 49ers fan. He can get better. His footwork is often times s**t, which is what hurt him most on his long balls, yet he's still super successful. Imagine when he perfects his craft in 2-3 years just how dominant he'll be. It's going to be a lot of fun to watch 49ers fans.

Imagine what he'll be like when we have a real offensive line and Jimmy G. can take 5 and 7 step drops with confidence.
He's kind of short. Might be a problem against a tall d-line

Jimmy G is 6' 2.
Hes a hard worker. He'll improve on his mechanics and footwork.

He's taller than Wilson & Brees and the same height as Aaron Rodgers...

his long ball

He has better footwork than 95% of NFL QBs and his long ball isn't there because he hardly attempted any long balls

I believe in this too. I wonder how the league will adjust to Jimmy once there's enough sample size on film.
