He really does have a eye for talent. His drafts formed the basis of the team that Harbaugh took over (and Baalke screwed up), he had a hand in Seattle having their run and was doing a decent job acquiring talent in Washington.

His downfall has been his personal life (alcoholism and his divorce).

Baalke rode the coattails of Scot McCloughan, who is a top talent evaluator. Harbaugh took a sub .500 team and rode it to three Championship games. The only time he came out of the shadows was when he won a power struggle over Harbaugh. He threw Kelly under the bus before he coached one game for the Niners. He got a job with the NFL, the good old boy network is mighty strong.

Yet this was proven as soon as he was forced to make his own picks... .....

No, McClueless does not have any eye for talent. We already got this argument months ago. If at all, Nolan had a good eye. McClueless' drafts were one of the worst.

Can't forget Glen!

I think he was good for safeties. Reid is the best safety in the first round between him elam and vacarro. Tartt is a fun player to watch, and Ward has been nice so far.

As for cbs..... eh.

Helping is pathetic...yeah, sounds like Donnie T.
Nah Baalke it wasnt,It was Ed Donatell the DB whisperer. Baalke acquired a bunch of DBs and so he is bound to hit one or two but he struck out on many more.

none of them were really good either. he got some average talent in later rounds and i guess that made him good at drafting CBs lol. gotta draft at least one pro bowler.
