Last year we thought every free agent of ours would sign with the Jets but i think only 2 did. Yes Mostert makes sense but does he want to go to a rebuild?

Can't pay Deebo and sign Adams. Financially speaking, that isn't going to work.
If only the Niners relocated to LA like that Area49 guy from way back always suggested

We aren't in a rebuild by any means but Miami can offer a lot more money. Tomlinson should be our top free agent priority but that doesn't mean he doesn't chase the money. Same goes for Mostert he could chase the money who is probably not a top priority for the niners

Mostert playing in that Jets turf probably gives him a 3-4 game over under on how long his season will last. He will want to stay closer to home so between Mia to Car is my guess.

I would absolutely love to keep him but the Niners can't justify paying him top dollar (or even close) and if you're in his shoes you gotta take the biggest pay because he has not really made a huge amount yet and with his history who knows how much longer he can still get a chance.
If he had been paid a huge bonus I could see him possibly staying because of fit and chance to win but that isn't happening.
Best case for the Niners is other teams low ball because of the injury status and he stays here out of comfort, but I can't imagine he won't get a much better deal with some team with a good cap amount. Sucks because I kill with him in Madden. Best KR in the league

Only injury prone player I want back. I love Mitchell, but Mostert is a major difference maker. Threat to score a touchdown on every touch. Hopefully he wont be too greedy with asking price.

Agreed. For right price I'm all for bringing him back.

RBs age like french fries. Coming off major injury and turning 30 in April.

BUT he's got fresh legs 30 with all the time missed.
I think the niners would have beaten the rams if he was in the lineup.
he's that important.

I agree that RBs dont age well. But even though this is his age 30 season, he has had less than 300 career carries. His body (provided the injury can be overcome), has not had even close to the wear and tear of a normal 30 year old running back.
Him and Mitchell would be an amazing 1-2 punch IMO.

This. Not a lot of tread on the tires.

Not only that but also a player that relies heavily on speed. Knee injury + turning 30 is a bad combo for that.

He won't garner a kings ransom in free agency but we of all teams should offer the highest amount and win his services. I'm thinking he won't garner more than $10M over two seasons being that he was injured all of last year so we should be able to match that I presume
