just saw a McAfee video talking about Phillip Rivers' next 4 weeks & the 49ers are the #8 Defense with no Bosa, no Warner, no pass-rush, no picks.

feel like we were undercoached on defense today. tenessee scoring 24? come on.

We simply don't have the horses. We can't stop the run at all. And have ZERO pass rush. Definitely would like to see him dial up some more effective blitzes. But it's only so much coaching can do. MM and Brown both dropped ints. Lenior got beat deep and MM made a terrible play on the ball. And the TD to 84 was blown coverage.

they have only scored 24 or more 3 games, inluding today. 0 sacks. our sAfetys broke up nothing. no creative answers from salah but soft zone. yuk. no turnovers. forgettable game on d.

How are we going to survive these remaining games with this defense? We have to do something.

not really arguing about anything you are saying. maybe the 2 week layoff had something to do with it. thats a pretty good excuse i think.

Young defense enjoyed that bye week a bit too much.

I don't think Saleh is a problem at all. I think the defense would be even worse without him. The Niners just don't have a ton of talent on that side of the ball. Obviously Warner and Bosa are studs but outside of them everyone is forgettable including the rookies on the DL. For as bad as the DL has been the secondary has been worse. They are healthy but they simply suck. They can't cover & can't tackle, that's not on Saleh.

Even if Warner and Bosa were here, lets stop pretending they were world beaters. They lost in the super bowl TWICE

No, the defense just isn't good. Purdy wins the Super Bowl or we're not winning the super bowl. This year OR next.

gonna disagree. they could be better organized in the back 4. iu feel like we could set up their keys better pre snap.

That's on the secondary. You let Hill run wide open. The DL has pressure on Mahomes on that play. The 2nd loss I put on Kyle.

I think the remaining injuries on defense are being over looked. Not talking Warner and Bosa. There are guys coming back that are desperately needed. We are starting career special team guys at lb. You never want to have to rely on those guys. If they were any good you would know it. Robinson is horrid. Barely practice squad good.

Getting Bethune back will be huge at least he's backup quality. I also think if Kendricks gets healthy even if he's washed he at least wont look lost out there. I hope they gave them another week to rest as a precaution.

The dline is down to castoffs and really young guys. It would be great if Gross-Matos could get healthy and contribute something for a few games. But not counting on it. They really have to hope that the young guys keep developing and the rest of them play above their weight class for the remainder of the season. Ferrell, etc.

Point being the guys on the field today especially at lb are not the guys who will be playing in the playoffs. At least lets hope not. Otherwise they are in big trouble.

Ok? Why does it matter what they did 10 weeks ago? You and everyone else would say the browns are a top 5 D, and the titans dropped 31 on them last week (not 10 weeks ago)

I don't disagree that our defense is lacking, but a little dramatic to call it an embarrassment when this titans team put up 31 on an elite D last week.
