Prior to that stop, Selah worked for the Seahawks from 2011 to 2013 as Seattle's defensive quality control aide.

The Jets have allowed 175 points in their past four games, the second most allowed in a four-game span by any team since the 1970 AFL/NFL merger.

They're the first team to allow at least 45 points three times in a four-game span since the 1966 New York Giants.

They have surrendered 1,890 total yards during the abysmal stretch, the worst four-game period in franchise history.

Coach Robert Saleh, who built his reputation in the league on defense, seemed at a loss to explain the latest embarrassment.

"Our system prides itself on being able to get better as the year goes on," Saleh said. "Clearly, it's not happening."

This was never a Jets to the playoffs in the first year situation. Team was expected to be terrible and young. Hope is they develop some young players that show up as building blocks going forward like Carter and Moore.

He did and I agree the comparisons are awful.

1) I think he was angrier at the comparisons rather than Saleh himself. He really did drag Saleh though.

2) The Jets were going to suck. I was expecting the 2017 49ers before Jimmy started. So far, they are one game better.

3) The defense was terrible in year one also.

Hopefully for Saleh's sake, they flash a few times down the stretch.

They would have to win like 4 or less games next year for that to happen. I personally thought 2020 was his best year and he was really hitting his stride as a D coordinator.

Totally disagree. Takes are probably correct on Pete and Vic. I do think trading the top pick may be the move for Detroit if they aren't sold on the QBs.

He's tied to the Wilson pick, and he's been bad as a rookie. I'm not sure throwing him to the wolves without bringing him along or making him earn the starting spot was the best choice, but did they have one?
