Capers would be better than O'neil but the Packers have not had a good defense since their Superbowl

i think the better question is who would like to come here. if nolan is the only one so be it. he would be an upgrade over who the niners have now.

Bowles is interesting..a lot of teams would be interested in him as DC..he had Arizona playing great on D when he was there..good choice if he's fired but I think he gets another year due to s**t QB play from Fitz..

I want a young up and comer who brings that fire and energy..Vrabel, Porter, Foote, hey I doubt it but when the whole bears staff gets fired holla at Fangio and find Tomsula and talk to them over a nice chicken parmigiana dinner with homemade wine..it's a joke but the players loved playing for them..

I'm thinking Chicago cleans house and Vic is back on the street. Someone really good will take the job if there's a bunch of money thrown at em. If we MUST keep Kelly, then we gotta pay for a GREAT DC

No way in hell Vic would come back here and I don't blame him. He should have never been let go. He's going to throw everything at us this Sunday.

If Fangio was brought back he would turn this defense around simply off knowing how to use the personnel..he would put them in positions to succeed unlike O'Neill..a lot of players played their best under Fangio..Reid, Bethea, Dorsey, Bowman, Dial, Brooks, Brock and Lynch..

Have you watched Chicago's defense lately? No thanks... Fangio's success with the 49ers was a byproduct of a very deep and talented roster, which no longer exists. He was never a great DC in the NFL until he came to San Fran. The name everybody isn't expecting is Mike Nolan. He reached out to Kelly shortly after Kelly hired O'neal. I would gladly welcome Nolan back, but it probably won't happen though.

I don't think there is s chance Fangio comes back but the Fact is the players and 49er D was at its best under him..give him some credit..At this point I'm sick with O'Neill putting these players in bad positions and hurting their confidence..anyone but O'Neill and I'm happy..

Frankly, a stump, or a turnip could do better....Ive worked a few pee wee coaches that are seemingly light years ahead of this idiot!
