I think are team is so depleted of quality players we shouldn't mortgage our entire future but we should definitely add pieces to build on for the right price. It helps you now and helps you attract other free agents in the offseason. If your a linebacker looking to come here this offseason your going to want some beef up front to shed blockers from your path and right now our front line is getting manhandled game after game(I know Sheldon Richardson is playing linebacker too).If this front office is serious about winning they need to get serious about adding talent.

I disagree with this if the player we trade for is going to be part of and help the future, Haden and Richardson are both young stars who would be part of the future..at positions that could use upgrades..Richardson at NT and Haden replaces Brock..

I would try and find a young, lesser known OLB to groom as a pass rusher for our D
Stephen weatherly is on the Vikings practice squad, 6-4 268 LBS, he is young and hungry, and has a lot of potential, I don't know why we aren't raiding any practice squads for a NT or ILB & OLB , Tank and Harold have both combined for ZERO SACKS, this season was the time for them to make an impact, and prove their worth, and to this point they haven't done squat . Tank is looking like "Gabe Wilkins 2.0" and Harold is just running around and not making any plays whatsoever , why we are hanging on to so much dead weight is puzzling , I would release some of those dead weight players ,and find some young / hungry players and let em play out the rest of the year with us , give us SOMETHING to cheer for , Trent's roster is weak and full of holes , if we scrimmaged Michigan , I'd bet that Harbaugh's boys would pound on us something awful

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
Blockbuster deal: Patriots traded LB Jamie Collins to Cleveland for a compensatory third-round pick, sources tell ESPN.

The Patriots have no interest in paying the current price for pass rushers.

Wow, I am absolutely shocked by this. I almost wonder if this is fake.

f**k me a 3rd comp for him! Maybe they don't got Myles with that first?

Gonna have to extend him in the offseason for that to be true.

What doesn't make sense to me is that the Pats could've retained Collins for the rest of the year, had him for a playoff run, and then picked up a compensation pick in free agency when/if he walked. So basically, they get a 3rd round pick in 2017 instead of (likely) a 4th round pick in 2018. Not sure that's worth losing Collins, he was a pretty good player.
