Where is your proof of this? Brock Osweiler couldn't even beat out a raw rookie in Cleveland of all places. It's pretty bad when Joe Thomas says somebody shouldn't start because their not ready and yet their still good enough to beat out Osweiler. Osweiler averaged less than six yards a pass last season in Houston. There is nothing there to vindicate Osweiler of murdering Hopkins' stats last season. Dude throws to his running backs and tight ends, Hopkins never stood a chance and still nearly had 1000 yards.

So what's more likely? Osweiler is absolutely terrible, or despite producing under six starting qbs beforehand Hopkins suddenly forgot how to play last season?

The fact that he was still able to produce despite six starting quarterbacks and damn near get 1000 with Osweiler starting is amazing. If this guy was getting thrown to by guys like the Roethlisbergers of the world, he'd be killing it.

He isn't and he's not.

He's a good receiver but they paid him like he's the leagues best which he's clearly not...dumb move and it's going to just accelerate the WR pay across the league for avg guys who can easily match his output on their own teams and demand similar pay for that production.

Only IF he had a QB... Haha too bad! Like an arrow without a bow. He is still a weapon, but can't maximize the damage. Good thing we don't have that problem. It's going to be sad to see his career go to waste.

I'm with Willis on this one. The idea that DeAndre's production dipped the last 2 years because he is declining and not due to the s**tshow the Texans had at QB is comical to me.

The fact that he has produced inspite of having so many different quarterbacks says he's far from average. If you give Antonio Brown six different starting quarterbacks, I'd wager that his stats wouldn't be quite so consistent either.

The Texans just went out and drafted their hopeful franchise quarterback. Locking up his best receiver who has shown number one receiver qualities when somebody can get him the ball should be a priority and was. You don't develop young quarterbacks by letting their best weapons leave elsewhere. Hopkins was going to get paid by somebody if he hit the open market.
