Lol, exactly. But i honestly believe Navarro had a tougher injury to comeback from for an athlete. Obviously cancer sucks, but once u recover, it doesnt affect the play on the field. Mentally and physically navarro had to overcome his injury on the field

Ehhh, that's not actually true.

His career is probably shortened after chemotherapy and the toll cancer takes on you. Not to mention the year he already missed.

I would have loved to see Bow get the award but berry deserves it plenty.

Yeah cancer f**ks you up for life. I'm not sure what type of treatment Berry got, but I can tell you chemo is a poison. It ruins your body. Chemo causes changes in you that never change back after the cancer is gone.

Don't get me wrong, chemo works, but the toll is great.

I see, thank you for the education, I'm not familiar with all the treatments. Like I said, Eric deserved it, but can't help but be disspointed Bow didnt win

Understood. I love Bowman, and if he was going against anyone else he would have won. Unfortunately I'm far too familiar with chemo and the effects it has. I hope you never get to know about the treatments

Bowman didnt really play all that great this year. He didnt look anywhere near the same guy. Being on a bad team helped him put up big tackle totals.

Berry deserved it.

Cmon man, Bowman played great
Any other year Bowman would win it hands down. But he just can't compete against a guy that came back from cancer to play pro football again at a high level. The will to overcome the realization that you have cancer, then work himself back into playing shape after chemo. It's ridiculous.

To come back from a wrecked knee or life threatening cancer to play pro football. That's not fair to Bowman.

It's got to be Berry.

What are you talking about? Bowman looked great this year. He started out a bit slow but having a year off will make u a bit rusty. But he looked really good by mid season.

What were you guys watching? He played like he didnt trust his knee. He could get up to full speed, but he looked like a freight train trying to stop when he wanted to change direction. He was AWFUL in coverage. He got burned routinely.

He made the Pro Bowl team off his reputation, and the fact that he led the NFL in tackles coming off a major injury.

I love Bowman, but it was pretty obvious that he wasnt his old self. Berry had a great year, and he had cancer.

In any other year Bow wins it though.

Obviously hes not as good as he was preinjury. But dont disrespect him and say he only made the probowl because his rep, he made it because he earned it. You act like leading the nfl in tackles means nothing.. and didnt u see him get 2 ints in the probowl?

lol he got 2 picks in a meaningless game where the players are goofing around?

Leading the NFL in tackles is great, but a key part of that recipe is playing on a bad team. The 49ers defense was on the field all day, and teams ran the clock down on us a lot. There were a ton of opportunities. Bowman still has his insticts, and was very good against the run, but he wasnt a "Pro Bowl" caliber player this year. He just wasnt.

He said himself that his knee hurts every morning, and he has to have a trainer massage his leg for an hour before the game to get him game ready. He didnt trust cutting on his bad knee, and it was obvious. He played cautious, and I cant blame him. Hes a Pro Bowl caliber player coming off a career threatening injury who put up a valiant effort in his first year back. He just wasnt one of the best MLB in football this year.

But, Jameis Winston got named to the team, so apparently it doesnt mean much anymore.

The way I see it, Bowman got screwed out of a pro bowl selection in 2011, and DPOY in 2013, so this makes up for it.
