Of all the "If only....." 's that the Pats and their fans are muttering today, how about: "If only we would have beat MIAMI" Just win that one in wk 17(which you were favored my double digits) and you'd be in the SB now

Gotta give Elway a ton of credit. He spent a lot in free agency and not always on younger talent. And it's paid off. Most personnel guys go the other way

I think he was rattled. Almost every play he was being pressure and hurried by that insane Denver front line. Brady was hit 19 times, the most by a QB in a game since 2006.

Or the Jets game in OT the week before.

Or the Eagles game at home earlier in the year (had a 14-0 lead at one point)

Or the regular season game in Denver in OT (had a double-digit lead in that game as well, IIRC).

Literally all winnable games. But didn't take care of business.

Hah! If this was anyone but Brady, I think the QB gets blasted for missing the open WR (Gronk).
Spot concept to the strongside. Gronk is running the Corner + a snag + a flat route. The Snag is what Brady ends up targeting.

I think we've all seen Brady target Gronk when Gronk had much less separation than what's seen here. The snag was never open at any point.

Congrats to the Broncos, that defense is carrying this team to a championship & maybe Peyton to a fairytale finale... I'm siding with the Panthers in the SB, but the Broncos should be a quality opponent.
