Atheists, non-believers, secularists -- whatever you want to call them -- will be the next group to gain national traction for equal treatment. 15-20% of Americans already publicly claim to be non-believers and it's suspected up to 40% are actual non-believers.

The only minority groups that currently have no legitimate shot at winning a presidential election are either gay or Atheist. That will change in the next 20 years.

Yep, I heard somewhere (probably on bill maher), according to a poll, the quality that voters find the most untrustworthy, is being an atheist. More than being gay, latino, black, female,muslim, etc.
