No, we were only up 3 with almost 10 mins left in the game. Wouldn't have guaranteed anything, but it certainly would've helped.

I don't fault Tartt for that dropped INT s**t happens, now him being late in coverage is another story.

This. Likely would have given the offense the jumpstart it needed.

Next play was a 30 yard catch with 15 year penalty, anyone who denies this play didn't lose this game is blind -

If he kept his feet he easily gets it to the 50. That said, LA dropped at least 2 ints so at worst things evened out in that department

Not sure about an offensive jump start as much as an LA meltdown. It could've put doubt on both the defense and almost assuredly Stafford if we get that pick

He was never starting worthy to begin with imo. Not sure why we never tried to upgrade that position

Over hyped player by niner fans

It looked like he's never caught a ball in his life. He was all thumbs! How does that happen for a professional football player?

That's why he plays defense.
Tarttexcuses. Dude was also late to the easy Kupp TD where Ambry was stressed.

Even if you feel the need to pivot to what-if's with Jimmy had Tartt got that INT, at minimum, it would have chewed up significant time off the clock.

All on point - why's everyone just dismissing what happened the next play after the drop?

I do. Sometimes it's hard to catch an interception when you're fighting through the receiver for the ball, or trying to catch a bullet. But the dude was essentially fielding a punt. That was absolutely embarrassing and it completely deflated our defense. It's not why we lost, but it's why we didn't win... if that makes any sense?

It's a WZ illness.
